  1. Highly doubt it. The original story seems to indicate multiple guys. As long as we don't give up any of our elite prospects, I'm good with it though.
  2. The big difference for me is that Tulo's game is based more on power, and Reyes more on speed. I have to think the power is likely to age better. Even if Tulo has to be moved off SS he still has the bat to play OF or corner IF at an elite level.
  3. I don't see why Edwin would waive his no trade rights to go there though.
  4. Doesn't mean he can't be traded, just that he can control where he goes. As I said before, him to the Dodgers for Seager+, then either Shields or Hamels coming here would make some sense. I have to think AA is trying to free up cash for high end controllable pitching. Still, thinking about Tulo in this lineup ...
  5. Ah, Tulo gets 2M bonus for being traded, so his salary is on par with Reyes. I wonder if Tulo had asked for a trade?
  6. Even if it does, I can't imagine him turning it down.
  7. We actually save 2M / year for the next few years on Tulo over Reyes! I'm thinking there's something bigger at play here though. Maybe Tulo to the Dodgers for Seager+, then pick up Shields contract?
  8. A-Rod with another home run. I get the possibility a great hitter can come back and do well even at his age, but THIS well? You have to wonder if he's found some new designer help.
  9. He was also basically going home signing with the Padres, which may have been worth a lot more to him than just the money.
  10. This is the time of the year when "insiders" make up tons of s*** and hope some manages to stick and make them look like they actually have legit connections. I wouldn't put any stock into the general rumors.
  11. Interesting. Hard to consider Starling as a headline player at this point, but he has unbelievable upside if someone can sort him out at the plate.
  12. Last I saw was he MIGHT be back in September, but there wouldn't be enough time to stretch him out as a starter. He'd be returning out of the pen if he does.
  13. Looking at the replay, he might have. Probably would have bounced off the top of the wall. Who knows which direction the bounce would have gone.
  14. I was totally expecting Carrera to drop that over the fence. Great catch though!
  15. I suspect he will be really soon. He's on a 14 game hit streak (23 hits in 59 at-bats), the majority of that coming at AAA. He seems to have sorted himself out.
  16. He started to walk off the base, then realized he was still being tagged, was off balance at that point, and fell.
  17. Carrera shouldn't have gotten hung up in the first place at third. Either you stay near the bag or you force the play at the plate.
  18. They did, then Carrera had a brain fart and decided to walk off the base while he was still being tagged.
  19. Kawasaki Jr. http://www.hlntv.com/article/2015/07/24/japanese-high-school-baseball-player-amazing-bat-routine
  20. I don't mind giving up some mid level prospects for a mid level rental (someone like an Iwakuma probably), but I definitely don't want to see us give up a Norris or Hoffman for a rental.
  21. Getting runs off Rodney as always just a little bit sweeter. That crooked hat really annoys me.
  22. The first thing that came to my mind was, "who is Cartman's dad?"
  23. I don't see an issue with it if you have the ball (which Donaldson did)
