  1. Sure would have been nice if they had announced the WAS-PHI game postponement BEFORE the scheduled start time so it didn't screw people's lineups over, especially given the weather there is fine. Apparently there's field problems that happened over the weekend.
  2. Good luck, that storm sounds like pretty much a worse case scenario.
  3. I'm not sure it even did hit him, not that it matters.
  4. Ramirez whiffed on the throw, and was trying to save face.
  5. If it makes you feel better, I expected Beeks to follow Stanek and it ended up being Chirinos.
  6. Well, a security guard is definitely supposed to be aware of their surroundings. It's kinda in the job description. Clearly an accident though. They'd be smart to build a spring loaded and padded chair right into the wall. As soon as the security guy stood up, it would automatically retract and security could simply jump into the stands.
  7. DK's football live scoring is all over the place. It's like it's spitting out random numbers for the overall placing.
  8. I'll bet your opponent in BORED loves him right now.
  9. Really nice at bat by McKinney, even though it resulted in an out.
  10. Well it would still eat up an option and put the player on the 40 man, so I'm not sure it would be much different than it is now. In fact, I suspect it would help most players stay up longer rather than the other way around. I have doubts a team would keep a guy on the 40 man specifically to play him 14 days a year for a few years. I think it's the solution that would result in the least amount of manipulation by teams, but I'm sure there's probably one or two guys who would end up worse off. In any kind of change, there always are.
  11. I find it hard to be too sympathetic for a player who intentionally lets the ball hit them, then has to be removed from the game because they got hurt.
  12. This ump in Seattle has a massive strike zone.
  13. The defense this inning is painful to watch
  14. My Keepers: 1) Vincent Trocheck - C 2) Ryan Johansen - C 3) Blake Wheeler - C/RW 4) Dustin Brown - RW 5) Reilly Smith - RW/LW 6) Anthony Mantha - RW/LW 7) Brendan Perlini - RW/LW 8) Jonathan Huberdeau - LW 9) Filip Forsberg - LW 10) Dustin Byfuglien - D 11) Matt Dumba - D 12) Brayden McNabb - D 13) Marc-Andre Fleury - G 14) Jacob Markstrom - G 15) Jaroslav Halak - G Available: Erik Johnson - D, Nikita Zadorov - D, Tomas Tatar - LW/RW, Zdeno Chara - D, Henrik Zetterberg - C
  15. Yes, yes he did.
  16. Exclude September, give teams 15 free games for a position player in a year, 5 for reliever, 3 for starter to cover emergency situations, and any appearances above that in a year results in a year of service time for the player.
  17. He was always billed as a strong hitter, but probably more of a DH if I remember right. That's not someone who easily makes prospect lists, but definitely someone who can have some impact.
  18. I swear I was told before the season that Arizona was gonna be a terrible hitting environment this year, and Goldy's numbers would tank due to it. Actually taking a closer look his home numbers aren't wonderful (although I think a large part of it is bad luck), offset by stellar road numbers. His hard hit percentages are absolutely bonkers both home and away.
  19. Hech just made one hell of a play.
  20. There goes Story's 3rd home run of the game!
  21. Sort of, but a lot of it isn't really his fault. Ump misses an obvious swing, batter hits next pitch for a double. McCutchen forgets the #1 job of an outfielder, Sanchez gives up two passed balls and doesn't get in front of a third to block it. I feel kinda sorry for Severino.
  22. WTF is McCutchen doing out there? He just watched a ball bounce on the outfield track and didn't even try to catch it.
  23. OMG, whoever that was singing the anthem in the Yankees game sounded like they were torturing a cat or something.
  24. Really hard to say without seeing him play the field. My guess would be he could be a little above average defensively, so maybe 6 WAR ceiling? Purely a guess.
  25. Man, Sanchez just saved himself from a really, really bad day. That was labelled for his face.
