  1. Yeah, I could have really used it for DFS too.
  2. I wonder what it would cost? 8/85 maybe? He'd still reach FA at age 27.
  3. I thought for sure Stanton had just hit a Yankee Stadium special there.
  4. It's not ideal, but it can be workable especially if you don't strike out a lot and have good speed.
  5. His lack of hustle really bugs me too. He looks like he's moving in slow motion on the bases.
  6. He sure did. This definitely isn't how I expected this game to go.
  7. I'd be in the market for an upgrade at catcher.
  8. He tried, the ump didn't let him.
  9. Lol, Upton just turned his back on a fly ball and the ball didn't move as he expected. It almost hit him in the back.
  10. They have to be calling it as umpire interference, and awarding the runner the base they would have attained without it. It's a terrible call though imo. CB really needs to retire. He's awful.
  11. Granderson can't be comfortable up there right now lol.
  12. Man, if Gurriel can actually turn into a legit hitter, that would be huge. His defensive ability (when refined a bit) could make him a Zobrist clone minus the switch hitting.
  13. Meh, it does for some guys. In fact, there's a pair of excellent examples starting against each other right now.
  14. Well, I mean you could extend the logic by saying that a catcher giving signs to the pitcher is cheating, etc. It's just a nonsensical argument in general.
  15. They're right that robo umps would eliminate it, but as far as cheating goes when JPA was catching by their logic the other team was cheating by getting the favorable calls due to him taking balls OUT of the zone.
  16. Yes, and he can't be QO'd, so it wouldn't cost us a draft pick.
  17. That's incredibly stupid on his part. If a contender DOES sign him, he'll likely get low leverage, inconsistent junk innings with a quick hook. It's unlikely he'll work his way out of the funk he's in that way.
  18. I'd love for us to pick up Greg Holland as a FA (as soon his release goes through). Chances are we'll be pawning off a few relievers, and we could offer him high leverage spots to rebuild value the rest of the year for league min. Maybe if he pitches well in August, we can even trade him for something then.
  19. We said the same thing about Liriano. The Jays will cover his salary, the team that trades for him will cover the buyout, and we'll get some low probability wildcard or something. Just my opinion.
  20. Jaime Garcia won't be a Jay by the end of the trade deadline imo. He has a 10M option next year with a 2M buyout, and looks to be moving by mutual agreement to a full time reliever. The team will almost certainly be hoping to do with him what we did with Liriano last year.
  21. I'm fine with his defense. The biggest issues IMO is the odd bad read, and always throwing to the wrong base. Hopefully he's more teachable in that regard than Carrera was. I think his bat still has upside left also. I could quite easily see him settle in as a 125 to 130 wRC+ type guy as he hopefully learns to become more selective.
  22. I would assume a few guys will be traded too.
  23. He'll probably be back in a few days.
  24. Not really, they'll just use Frazier.
