  1. I'm looking to upgrade at catcher, if anyone is selling. Also separately looking to trade Pedroia for someone looking for a reclamation project, and Joe Kelly if someone is looking for holds (18 holds this year).
  2. I would think so, maybe immediately given how many relievers we've traded.
  3. Copping looks mildly interesting as a lottery ticket reliever.
  4. 1. Don't look at ERA for pitchers. Osuna is one of the top closers in the game, and he's only 23. He does however have some anxiety issues (which may or may not be related to a very "complicated" off field life). I would probably put Chapman, Kimbrel, Jansen, Miller in a top tier, with guys like Davis, Britton, Osuna, Giles, Allen in the next tier. You basically traded for a pitcher equal to Giles, but with an extra year of control and a fresh start for both. As far as I know, there's been no clubhouse issues with Osuna at all. Everyone seems to really like him. 2. We don't know exactly what was on tape. There's reports all the way from it being fairly minor to shocking, although I think if it was the latter MLB would have suspended him much longer.
  5. I think I'm a lot higher on those guys than many here.
  6. I love that for Tampa. I would have been thrilled if we got that for Stroman.
  7. Huh, that just seems strange to me.
  8. He grew up not too far from Oakland I believe. Probably took advantage of the Jays trip to visit friends and family.
  9. Doesn't really sound like it to me, or at least not the regular kind. We're 5-5 in the second half, which doesn't feel like a typical team meeting type scenario. Combine that with Gibby's comments, and it sounds to me like either there's a tragedy in one of the player's families, or a major trade that hasn't been announced yet. It would be odd to have a regular team meeting after the last game before the trade deadline, where a bad performance is at least somewhat understandable.
  10. Actually it does. I really don't know what to tell you beyond that, other than you're flat out wrong. 100.2 MPH in 2014, and 100.0 in 2015.
  11. Wow, Diaz got all of that one.
  12. Jaime looks like his shoulder is bothering him, plus he's only hitting mid 80s. He'll almost certainly be on the DL after tonight.
  13. FFS, just put a position player in. Don't burn another reliever.
  14. WTF Teoscar? He should have had both of those imo.
  15. Solarte is definitely playing hurt.
  16. I would have thought he'd return more than that (especially with them paying half his remaining salary). The rental market just isn't what it used to be.
  17. I'd be curious what kind of return I could get for deGrom. I'd place the odds of trading him at maybe 30%, but I'd like to get a feel for potential returns as it may affect who else I'm willing to trade or the types of returns I'd be looking for.
  18. Looks like Solarte is hurt.
  19. Duvall to the Braves for Sims, Wisler, and Preston Tucker.
  20. He gets his share of errors, he's just so elite most of the time they get buried.
  21. Of course it is. There's really no downside to giving it a shot.
  22. Not really, Estrada is more of a fly ball pitcher. Probably the best opportunity in the foreseeable future.
