    It is impressive though that of the 1723 seasons of 100 RBI's or more only 63 have been achieved with a wRC of less than 100. Joe Carter had three of them including the lowest of all time at 72. Only 2 others were sub 80 and only like 12 were sub 90.

    Cubs were also telling Archer to stop throwing the slider so much. The Rays got him and encouraged the slider as much as possible. Recently he said that they had to show him how successful it was to convince him to stop shaking it off. Changes in the pitching type, style, something new, that's all most have said Sanchez needs to do to step up closer to his true potential. This org is not going to change Sanchez to something new though.

    I hate to bring everything back to the Rays, but in this case it is completely appropriate. Rays standard road pitching stats are the best in the majors so far. Good pitchers succeed in the AL East and in this particular case bad pitchers can too

    I'd say a good Mexican to Mexican comp here would be Chacin. Two 4 hitters, a 3 hitter and 2 hitter in his first 5 starts. Lock that bitch up to a 7 year deal and include the Marco Polo Cologne deal.

    Nats trading a starter now makes so much sense. J Zimmerman and Fister free agents this year and Strasburg next. With Joe Ross showing that he belongs. They aren't going to want prospects though. EE for Strasburg. probably an even deal that suits both teams needs. I don't think Edwin gets 5 and 10 rights for another 2 months.
