There's nothing "hilarious" about John simply pointing out that the White Sox just got swept by a sub .500 team. Putting lol at the end of a sentence doesn't make it a joke.

In your case it calls into question your own inability to gauge whether you are capable of serious discussion to any degree, and leaves an open ended question whether every statement is supposed to be taken as a badly formed joke or if you actually mean what you say.

Sure, a badly formed joke but I meant that we are on the same level as the Pirates this season.  If anything, we suck more than them because theyve had to NL teams more than weve had to.

There you go...making up statements again. 

I said they were swept by the sub .500 Pirates. I said they haven't been playing top teams while only winning 1 series in September. 

Both of those statements are simply factual. Whatever connotation you inferred from them is in your own head.
