I prefer having Miles pitch multiple high leverage games than build him up to pitch 3 innings in one game.  We got Yesavage coming back to do that now anyways.

Off day tomorrow so we are good using Louie here again.  He needs a bounce back after his last appearance.

Jays are 1.5 games back from Chicago.  Since we dont have the tiebreaker, thats practically 2.5 games...

Gotta hope Chicago has an epic collapse over these final 1.5 weeks.

They've only won 1 series this month so far, havent even been playing top teams and were swept by a sub. 500 Pirates team. There is as much chance of the Sox collapsing as anyone else in this glut of AL teams at .500-ish sh*tshow

Hilarious how you highlight the Pirates as a scrub team when theyre half a game behind us in the standings loll. Agreed about your overall point but finishing the season @ home against the Rockies seems like a layup.

Again, we're 2.5 games behind them due to the tiebreaker so we'd have to go like 7-2 at minimum to surpass them while staying ahead of Texas/Houston.

Hilarious how you straw-manned what I said to be outraged. I said they were a sub .500 team, which they are.

And we can finish in a tie and still get in, as long as it's a 3 way tie with Cleveland, us and the Sox.

I straw-manned the comment into a light hearted joke.  I said I agreed with your main point, which is everyone sucks so hard to predict the suckability lol.

There are three games that have WC implications tonight: White Sox, Astros and Rangers are all playing. The Guardians and Orioles are off and so are we.

If the Astros or Rangers win it doesn't effect our odds that much. Less than a percentage point in either direction.

But the outcome of the ChiSox game produces about a 4.5 point swing. If they win, our playoff chances drop 2 points, if they lose we jump 2.5 points.

So no surprise but that's the biggest game on tonight's schedule.

We definitely don't want both the Rangers and the Stros to win though...
