That's not what I mean. Im saying he is an unproven commodity at the plate. He may actually turn into a league average bat (hopefully better) and his defense is sound but I want some slug (not a babip charmer) and he ain't that.

The front office really doesn’t believe in slug over avg. Its been pretty clear these last few years.

Bateman is exactly the type of player they covet.

Yeah i guess you're right.  But I hold out hope we acquire Buxton via trade this off season and win a championship.

He threw out 17 in 118 games last year.  He's thrown out 13 in 65 games this year.  So no.
