Jays are 1 back of the Guardians, but now only 1.5 back of the White Sox. Those two have a 3 game series Mon-Wed. Have to hope for a sweep from either one of them with the Jays hopefully taking care of business against the Tigers.

I think it’s generally better for us if the White Sox sweep that series.

Gets a bit dicey if we are battling Chisox and Rangers for the last wildcard

Yeah definitely rooting for a White Sox sweep or at least winning that series. Jays lost the SS to both CWS and TEX, so not a good thing for Cleveland to win the Central, but as long as one of the Central teams chokes down the stretch it will help the Jays chances.

Jays still have 3 against the Rangers though which is nice. Absolutely need 2/3 or even a sweep there.

Just need to play good ball, and hope that the Whitesox and Guards don’t both play well

If we win 2 out of 3 against tigers worst case scenario we are .5 game back of wildcard.  
 

im not actually going to do the math on that one but it kinda seems like it could be right

Rangers are 4-0 vs Jays already.  A sweep won't change the head to head. But certainly a good opportunity to keep them behind the standings.

Agreed, hoping Chisox sweep the Guardians and Cleveland remains our chief competition for WC3 since we have the season tiebreaker over them. Would almost rather Texas play well outside of our series and knock Houston down as well. We currently have a 1-game tiebreaker over the Astros based on 1 additional division win. Just gotta keep winning!!

If it was a no-doubter like Oka’s, then yeah fine. But that ball had a decent chance of banging off the top of the wall. Pretty much like his last hit being the double that barely missed, and he needed to hustle hard to get to 2nd.

Idk i just wish the dude would play a bit smarter. Read the room. Learn from past mistakes.

Vlad sadly isn't really the type to learn from past mistakes. We just have to hope that he finally gets locked in at the plate so it's easier to overlook the occasional goof ups.
