Brock, I see you decided to get your job done early today. After I called you out in the other threads. I guess we appreciate it, but we also shouldn't have to tell you to do your job, it should just be a given.
Laika Community Moderator Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I'm still mad about using Mantiply in a 2-1 game. That's leverage. You need to try and win every game. They had a day off on Monday. It's not early June. Should have used Fisher and Fluharty at least, even if you didn't want to burn Rogers and Varland without a lead. Mantiply didn't earn the right to come back and immediately be considered a leverage reliever. Dude was cheeks last year and only twirled like, 12 good innings for Toronto before getting hurt.

Not only was there an off day Monday but even Sunday only Miles and Fisher were used

Yea pitchers that take player options but then get hurt alot and give up game winning home runs in game 7 of World Series and sometimes give flashes of being good but then let you down and gamble on their own results and used to wear racist jerseys and denigrate native Americans
glory Old-Timey Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Last night's lineup was so effective, JS decided to run it back tonight. 2026 wRC+ vs LHP Lukes: 25 Straw: 67 Gimenez: 71 Clement: 83 I guess the alternatives aren't much better since Atkins wanted an entire bench of LHB, but they could have at least squeezed McAdoo into the lineup tonight. McAdoo is 2 for his last 22. This is the worst Blue Jays offense in the past 30 years. ALL THE OPTIONS TO PUT IN THE LINE UP SUCK HAIRY BALLS. You'd think this is the first game you've seen all year.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The lineup does look odd seeing as Cantillo is a lefty but he has reverse splits in his career. Mostly due to his changeup which is the only pitch of his that gets a good Stuff+ grade. Lefties love throwing changeups to righties but they avoid it against lefties if they can.

I definitely would've kept Cameron until today and brought up Keys tomorrow.

I'm not a McAdoo believer by any means, but Straw and Gimenez suck against LHP, Lukes sucks even worse, and Clement has been awful for months, not 22 random at bats. "The team stinks so let's ignore the splits and just play the vetrins" may not make much of a difference considering the alternatives, but the Jays kinda need to hit on some luck rather than hope 75 wRC+ vets can hold down the fort. I'd much rather see if McAdoo can run into one and then replace him later in the game for defense, but to your greater point, yes the offense sucks either way, so it's not going to be make or break.

Smokinitup420 Verified Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Feels like if we lose this the postseason is just a pipe dream this year have to admit Cleveland’s pitcher last night was incredible so I’m hoping we see the offense from Seattle series tonight
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted 57 minutes ago Posted 57 minutes ago What's going on with Seattle and Boston this series Holy s***

Getting swept by Cleveland diminishes our chances but we would still have a shot.
