SeranthonySantander Verified Member Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The home run count for Vlad doesn’t really mean that much. Take a player like Fred freeman. He never hit many home runs, like 25 or 30 a year, but he would hit like 50 doubles which helps if Vlad could just do freeman numbers, average a 900 ops and play good defence, he will be worth his contract

Thats a massive difference from 25

jmomcc Verified Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago They need a goal that he can control and does not lead to pressing. Like tell him his plate approach needs to improve. Move him down and then move him up when it improves, Maybe that will get him to stop pressing.

Doubleplay21 Verified Member Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago Do not mind losing when you try your best. Vladdy just does not care could not even run hard...a piss poor Schneider who let's his players take it easy.

Cease reminds me a lot of AJ Burnett - excellent stuff but needs to harness it more consistently. Regardless he's still a very solid 1A or #2 even with the control issues. It's crazy he's never had a BB/9 lower than 3.00 before - he's always averaged high 3's pretty much throughout his career.
