Yesavage is on the bump, against a... Kochanowicz... whatever that is. Keep taking care of business against the Angels.

Is this real?

They optioned their best hitter.

Pinango isn't the team's best hitter but he was certainly one of the few performing at the plate. I'd much rather see the team jettison Sosa or option Schneider down to AAA instead but alas that wasn't in the cards.

Can't believe they optioned Pinango over Schneider. Davis has been horrible for basically 2 years now. He's a career .210 hitter. I don't care how likeable he is as a person. He's a s***** MLB player, we lost Leo Jiminez cause management wouldn't send him down and now Pinango who literally did everything he could to stay with the Jays is being sent down, to keep a guy hitting .127. Unreal!

I see why it’s a tough decision but it’s not one that can’t be undone - what happened to a meritocracy? Sent Schneider down and bring him back if Piñango slumps and Davis hits.

I wanted pinango to stay too but I guess you can't have a bench full of lefties

Yeah we need that 580 ops vs LH that Davis has. It's a moronic decision.

Pinango going down shouldn't be a surprise. 27 PA of good production is nice but he still projects to be a below average hitter. If he's actually good he will get more playing time in the future. Not like he's a top 10 prospect in baseball or anything.

Schneider was an excellent bench bat last season as he produced a 127 wRC+. Maybe your standards are different but I think that's far better than "horrible".

I think Varsho catches that a few years ago.

Not an easy catch but that’s more than one chance that he’s looked a bit awkward on?

Yeah, I've noticed. His range is declining right before our eyes, easy pass on free agency.

Not a chance, it was hammered 400 feet off the wall
