It's a small sample size but 0.3 fWAR and 160 wRC+ in 27 PA's for Pinango.

Pinango isn't the team's best hitter but he was certainly one of the few performing at the plate. I'd much rather see the team jettison Sosa or option Schneider down to AAA instead but alas that wasn't in the cards.

What a dumb move. Pinango was hitting and Davis has an option and can't hit a beach ball at the moment.
