The over 40 crowd on this board really pulling for Max.  :(

I do wonder what Max would look like out of the bullpen. He could just air it out for one inning and let it fly every pitch. I think Jays24 even floated the idea during the offseason of trying him as a closer.

I’d definitely be interested to see whether Max would be open to a move to the pen - kind of like what Smoltz did later in his career.

Practically every reliever/closer is a failed starter.  Scherzer is at a point where hes a failed starter now due to performance and health.

It wont hurt to see how he does if given 1 inning to air it all out.  Just not sure if Max cares to go down that path but thats his only remaining path if he wants to stay on the field.

Love it when the opposition blows their challenge early in games.

Its honestly become a big part of the game and i love it.  Hope more importence is placed on the ABS metrics as it can change games dramatically.

Will be funny if a batter challenges a ball by mistake.

Davis has a habit of touching his helmet after pitches.  He's going to make an accidental challenge one of these days.

They should make it a verbal sign and not a helmet tap to avoid this scenario.

Just got home from coaching a little league team.

Can't wait to bless you all with that same expertise in here for this game.

It sucks that every walk and single is basically a Double vs the Blue Jays because our Catchers can't throw the ball to second.

We have a lot of pitchers that do a terrible job holding runners. You can't pin it all on the catcher.
