gruber9292 Verified Member Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Is Vladdy hurt? Is it too much to ask for a player to run hard on the bases four or five times per game?

harvey16 Verified Member Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Love Vladdy, hate that he doesn't run hard out of the box on every play. He's running that out, he's safe there and extends the inning. Plays like this can end up costing us the game.

gruber9292 Verified Member Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago So Schneider just can't f***ing help himself using Nance in a tie game late in the game, to the top of the their line up to boot. Where's Miles? Let's just give the lead right you buffoon.

Slade Old-Timey Member Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Damn unlucky we couldn't get out of this.
gruber9292 Verified Member Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Why didn't Fisher start this inning? What's with this fantasy that management has in trying to instill confidence in garbage arms in high leverage spots? It's f***ing maddening.
Slade Old-Timey Member Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago This is where you take Fisher out? We're down 4 now, let him finish and give Mantiply a clean inning.

gruber9292 Verified Member Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago No reason whatsoever in using Nance in a tie game late in the game, with a day off tomorrow also. These constant ridiculous decisions are f***ing bush league.

DownSouthBlueJay Verified Member Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago If we can get romano in the game we have a chance
jaysthebest Verified Member Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago JS always make the same mistake over and over again. He should be the worst in the league in bullpen management.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Not sure exactly why Nance was given a 2nd inning, against the top of the lineup to boot. Odd decision gruber9292, Terminator, Spanky__99 and 1 other 4

Lauer's numbers since August 2025: 5.40 ERA 5.50 FIP / 4.77 xFIP 3.5 BB/9 1.49 WHIP 2.0 HR/9 Thats totally fair. Lauer's a 5th/6th starter on a normal team and our 8th starter if everyone's healthy. Hes just filling in due to injuries at the moment. Should have different expectations for different players :) jaysblue 1
gruber9292 Verified Member Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago I'd love for a member of our pussy beat reporters to ask Schneider in the post game why he would use his worst option in the pen in a tie game late to face the top of their line up. Stangstag 1
RA Whiffleball Verified Member Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago This is JS's fatal flaw - he always doubles down on struggling pitchers, and it costs us games. I remember last year the Yankees traded for Bird, and after 2 bad outings, he was DFA'd, no manager defending him, no doubling down, you don't produce, you're gone.

Im sure his answer will be that other guys were unavailable and that Nance needed some work…. A fair answer except idk why he tried to stretch him for a 2nd inning. Playing with fire

Do you remember how long Devin Williams lasted as closer though? This isn’t really true

Maybe the odd season, he puts up numbers like he did last season, or he can be mediocre/very bad like he is now. That's why he's a 5th/6th starter. 5.09 BB/9 doesn't help. Need to get that down in the 2-3 range. While he looked awful today, if Lauer gives you 5 innings of 3 ER every time out, I'll take that. Also, not a bad idea to use an opener (RHP) in front of him.
