Its whack. But I also saw that the semis aren’t even decided yet, because they don’t wanna have a potential US/Japan semi so they would switch things around.

It all seems like bs. These things should be set in stone regardless of who gets what spot.

Baseball traditionalist watching these Latin Baseball games might actually be spontaneously combusting. It’s a full on party when someone goes deep.

I’m waiting for 2 DR players to run onto the field and putting the Homerun hitter on their shoulder and parade him to home plate.

The exception has always been for US to play this Fri. My guess it's for TV numbers.  So will they swap Canada around to accommodate the US, or just leave the way it was?  

Both Italy and US will be hard to beat.  Canada has never been in the quarters.   It's all gravy from here on.

I'm a traditionalist, but baseball has evolved, this isn't the MLB and everyone has that right, I welcome it.

It really is, if that's correct. They are the highest seeds but why play a round robin right?

I've played in travel ball, hockey and then AAA Hockey tournies even overseas in both, that's just not how it works. Pitching restrictions but no reseed.

They should. But as other have stated, apparently US gets some kind of priority time so we don’t fully know yet

Well today tells me Paxton is getting lots of calls tonight, I hope the Jays are one. That guy throwing 97 in short stints is gold.

He'll definitely get a camp invite if he wants one. Lefties who throw 96-97 with a great slider don't grow on trees. I'd like to see him give relieving a go. Just air it out for an inning at a time.

I feel like he knows that he still has the stuff to get people out. I think he's just fatigued of the injuries and doesn't want to go through it anymore. He was always a prime candidate for a conversion to the pen. It looks like he was gearing up for only this tourney unfortunately but it would be great if he came back and gave it another shot.

Big Maple to the T.Dot would be sick. He can do a Maddux 2.0 now that he's got an itch. Jays should be calling.
