I already have a home Pirates Skenes jersey, so if I got the City Connect one, would get Konnor Griffin, but it's not available yet.

The Braves vintage baby blues are really nice. Debating on who I should get - Acuna or Riley.

Also, like the Orioles ones as they kinda look cool.

Not sure what to think of the Royals.

Not a fan of the Reds or the Rangers or the Brewers lol.

I actually really like the new Royals jersey, but the hat kinda sucks/ruins it

"Shohei Ohtani has reached base in 43 consecutive games entering tonight's tilt with the Rangers, tied with Ichiro Suzuki for the longest streak by a Japanese-born player in MLB history."

that is 31st on the all-time list,

Jays are now in a 4 way tie for the last WC spot!

Considering the Blue Jays just played their worst stretch of baseball and with all the injuries, the playoffs will be easy to make, especially once everyone is back healthy.

Mason Miller's K-rate is 79.2%

What type of a season would he need to have to win the Cy Young?  Could it happen?

Given that relievers have won it even back when starters went deep in games I have to believe it is still possible.

Eckersley won with a 1.92 ERA and 51 saves.  1.72 FIP and .913 Whip in 92 innings.

Gagne did it with a 1.20 era with 55 saves.  132 strikeouts that season. FIP was 0.86 and whip was 0.69.  He was also perfect in saves that year.i would guess Miller would need off years from guys like Skenes and would need to help lead the Padres to a division title to have a chance.

He should have won AL Rookie of the Year two years ago.

Yeah that all makes sense to me.

As for your question, it's possible. Gagne won the NL Cy Young in 2003. Last closer I could remember who won over the past two decades. Don't even think Mariano won a Cy Young.

Gagne in 2003 posted a 4.7 fWAR and going a perfect 55 for 55 in saves along with a 1.20 ERA and 14.98 K/9 (137K's in 82.1 innings).

You figure Miller would have to reach 50+ saves and ERA in the low 1's or below 1 and for sure 120+ K's and needs to post close to a 5 WAR season.

Also, some weak competition from other NL arms like Skenes, Yamamoto, Alcantara would help go a long way.

hardly anyone noticed him when he was with the Marlins, I liked his home run celebration though lol.  He's getting more air time playing in NY and unfortunately for him that's not a good thing.

Unintentional ABS challenges lol.  Come on.  It needs to be both the helmet/cap tap and verbal

Right, there shouldn’t be any confusion between player/ump on whether a pitch was challenged or not

I thought I saw one the other night where the pitch was outside, the ump called a ball, but the player originally thought it was a strike and called for a challenge.  Once he realized the ump did call it a ball, he tried to stop the review, but was denied.

The pitch was confirmed correct, so he lost the challenge!

Maybe I was dreaming again?

Doubtfull, because even with stellar stats, Emmanuel Clase didn't win in 2024

Pasquantino and Salvador Perez have a combined wRC+ of 62...the ultimate rally killers. It gets even worse when you consider that Maikel Garcia in the leadoff spot currently has a .380 OBP.
