Waylanderz Verified Member Posted October 1, 2025 Posted October 1, 2025 Red Sox. We don't have to IBB anyone on their roster right?

jmomcc Verified Member Posted October 2, 2025 Posted October 2, 2025 Red sox easily for me. The yankees can legitimately put out 6/7 leftie lineups that mash against our rightie heavy pitching. It just seems like a bad match up. I also just think they are a better team generally.
BlackCoffee Verified Member Posted October 2, 2025 Posted October 2, 2025 Definitely the Red Sox. The Blue Jays are 6th in the MLB having give up 209 home runs this year and the Yankees are the MLB leader with 274 home runs while the Red Sox only 186. 6 Yankees have more home runs than Vladdy. Wells only has 2 less and Volpe 4 less.
SeranthonySantander Verified Member Posted October 2, 2025 Posted October 2, 2025 Redsox because all of the players are bad, pitching is ok
Perfect Game Verified Member Posted October 2, 2025 Posted October 2, 2025 Red Sox. Crochet is their only great starter & the Jays do well at Fenway.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2025 Posted October 2, 2025 Question of the week should be is why does the #2 seed get a better bracket.

I guess they like brackets because casual fans can understand them and companies can just throw up a graphic.

I remember in 1995 when the first round of the post season was the top two division winners playing against each other and the worst division winner playing the wild card team. So one of the top two teams in each league was eliminated first round.
Terminator Old-Timey Member Posted October 2, 2025 Posted October 2, 2025 I'd rather face the Red Sox as well. Top to bottom they just aren't as good as the Yankees. But a 5 game series with Crochet pitching 2 of those games is a dream format for them.
mphenhef Verified Member Posted October 2, 2025 Posted October 2, 2025 I'm honestly not sure. Both teams have the capacity to kick the ball around plenty. Crochet in 2 games does scare me but after him I'd rather face the Sox pitchers over Rodon/Gil.
