Blue Jays choking again..... almost as bad as 1985. Had 5 game lead on division with 12 games left and now looking to be a wildcard team....

Would think at some point the Org says that Kirk needs to get in shape.

Except that this is all Kirk has. He's not a power hitter regardless of what the talking voices try to say and what he does have NEEDS him to have the weight since he doesn't have the height to have long and strong enough arms to be a consistent power hitter.

So tonight was worst case scenario.

Our division chances gotta be about 50/50 at this point, but seems like the team is rolling over.

a little too optimistic there. Jays would need to win 3 of last 4 games now, and that means at least 2 if not all three againts Tampa who has ALWAYS been a pain in their side and they struggle to play against.

Schedule was really biased gainst the Jays making them play what, 7 games against Tampa in the last 2 weeks of the season.

Start, end or middle...does it matter?  That's not bias.  The Yankees had two late series against Baltimore who were anticipated to be the far better team.

Kirk not running  to first on a base hit is so funny... I guess he already quit

He was running wasn't he?  He's just epically slow.

Sure the BO injury has hurt the offense but this entire Staff should be gone the way they have handled the pitching rotation the last month or so. Just terrible the way they handled Lauer and continuing with Max

Fire everyone right?  I mean fire Popkins too - he's clearly lost the team as the offense is trash.

i've said for years they need to drop Pete Walker as pitching coach. With every other  coach and manager change that they have done over last 10yrs how does he still have a job when he takes good pitchers makes them mediocre or takes avg pitchers and gets them hurt every single year? He was a low level player who was a miracle hire and has done little or nothing to really improve the careers of any pitcher he's had on staff. If anything, he has helped limit and ruin potential with what he has done.

Misinformed take.  The list is pretty significant for pitchers who did well under Walker and ended up making money on contracts because of it.

J.A. Happ, Marco Estrada, Ross Stripling, Marcus Stroman, Aaron Sanchez, Stephen Matz, Robbie Ray, Joe Biagini, Brett Cecil, Liam Hendriks, Roberto Osuna, Ryan Tepera, even Manoah's breakout year before the arm issues are attributed to Pete Walker.
