Its funny how the culture is. In hockey and football, refs often put the whistles away in crunch time because they are hesitant to decide the outcome. Then in sports like the NBA and the MLB refs seem to relish in it. hanton, Jesusindashed, Stangstag and 1 other 4

Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2025 Posted September 24, 2025 Would have been good to let Santandar work off rust in this game. Offense has been bad lately.

neverbeenhere Verified Member Posted September 24, 2025 Posted September 24, 2025 had they won 2 winnable games early in the season, they wouldn't have been in this awkward situation. How absurd it is to say that games in the early season don't matter. Every game counts, every game is important. Jesusindashed and Barrelsandbombs 2
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 24, 2025 Posted September 24, 2025 Yoshida is red hot, gonna give us hell this series

I'm completely baffled why Santander isn't playing tonight. Give him these remaining games to prove himself to see if he's worthy of being on the playoff roster. Having a legit power threat in your lineup is invaluable in the playoffs. I don't care if he hits .200, if he can hit a HR at a key moment we need that. HRs are even more important in the playoffs. It balances out.

If that doesn't have Santander as a starter, so be it.

Crochet is the kind of pitcher they're going to want to see him against.

If he's healthy he should be playing bottom line. Jays24 and Spanky__99 2
