He also has 23 home runs in almost 650 plate appearances. 

As good as he might be, he should be better, actually quite a bit better, he should be an MVP candidate. Performance is relative to talent. He's still underperforming his talent even if he's outperforming 90% of the rest of the league.

Lauer's body language has been pretty deflated since the move which is understandable.

Hopefully Schneider has the managerial soft skills to keep him happy and feel appreciated. Controlling the clubhouse is literally the only thing he's allowed to do on his own.
