Wake n bake Verified Member Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 I know all of u will disagree and probably lit right into me over this but I agree it sux with no bo cuz he really is a great hitter but the jays have stepped up before when he went down and they seem to be stepping up now, the defense is a lot better and I don’t really think the front office was planning on bringing him back anyways so we will see how we are without him. I’m more intrigued to see how we do without him going down the road as I’ve never been a fan of his defense and it’s only getting worse as well as he’s slow as hell on the base paths. You can all quote me and burn me at the stake if the jays go downhill without him but I got a feeling they’re gonna say f*** it and play great ball, end of rant haha

He was in the midst of one of his best stretches as a major leaguer as well when he hit the injured list so this is a huge loss for the team. Over his last 73 games leading up the injury Bo had produced a stellar 159 wRC/3.0 FWAR and his offensive contributions aren't going to be easily replaced. I don't agree that the front office wasn't interested in retaining Bo's services long term but it was going to require a foray into free agency to determine a fair market value contract. Wake n bake Verified Member Posted September 15, 2025 Posted September 15, 2025 I’m not saying Bo won’t be missed I know he’s a huge offensive player for us and I’d rather he be in the line up and not out but I’m not gonna sit here thinking the season is over because of it lol I’ve seen a lot of doom and gloom over it, I’m gonna be positive for once hahaha
