I guess we know who is going down when Santander comes back, assuming Bichette is back as well. Not sure what Davis Schneider has done to this organization. Every time he hits well they find any excuse not to play him dating back to 2023.

That is one of the two most puzzling pinch hit decisions I have ever seen.
 

Schneider is the perfect guy to throw in against a leftie. I just do not understand how france or IKF could be better choices there.

Schneider definitely should have hit for Gimenez there. 

If/when Santander comes back this IKF hole in the batting order better be DFA'd

This is typical baseball manager ******** though. If you don't want your manager to choose s***** 'reliable' vets over younger players, don't add them to the roster at the trade deadline or after. Managers love this kind of ********.

How many teams would pinch hit for their 2 hitter?  With a Myles Straw no less.  These decisions make me scratch my head to no end.  Give me Lukes against a lefty there all day and twice on Sunday.

None, I watch the games, i know straw and DS got us here so I’d rather see them instead of new guys that ain’t really much better, but I’m sure some weird analytic thing told JS and company that France and old would be better cuz if JS can’t see what we all see then somethings wrong

There is no analytic on the planet that would suggest pinch hitting IKF against a lefty.

That was John Schneider's brain dead gut feeling. Minor league mangers tend to bend over for big league vets, no matter how s***** they are, and adding France and IKF was always going to cause more harm than good because of that.

it's strange, even with a lead I let my 2 batter hit then put a stronger fielder in to finish off the game.  baseball 101
