Well we have a much tougher schedule than the teams chasing us and a bullpen that can't get anybody out and a starting pitching staff that doesn't go deep.

They built a pitching lab. 

Its essentially one starter in ten years. They do a good job spending tons of money in free agency. Usually get healthy guys who chew innings. That's literally it on the pitching side. In ten years.

The same way this team got to first place after 135 games into the season despite your season long fearmongering.  The bats and defense are not going to disappear overnight.

Okay but what about the pitching and what about the quality of competition? If the name on the front of the Jersey was not Toronto would you still feel that we are realistically going to hold on to first the way things are going and with the schedules as they are?
