any one else get fed up with the over hyping of players and the team that some of the announcers shovel out during the broadcasts? I was listening on the radio and one of the guys claimed that John Schneider claimed that he thought Gimenez was the best 2nd baseman he's ever seen, and the best over all fielder currently in baseball.

I guess he never saw Robbie Alomar, Aaron Hill, Franciso Lindor, Xander Bogaerts, Jackie Robinson, or Jose Altuve? Not to mention Matt Chapman, Trevor Story, Bobby Witt JR, Carlos Correa?

The holes in Barger's swing have become more and more apparent and are getting exposed. I'm not sure why they're putting him so high in the lineup while he's slumping.

Barger has been exposed as a .200 hitter. Santander hopefully replaces him on the roster soon.

Is it really necessary to bat Barger second while he's clearly in a bad place right now? You can argue that he'll see more hittable pitches but we're in a pennant race in late August ffs. Lukes is swinging the bat well again lately and this is what management decides? A young struggling hitter batting ahead of Vladdy and Bo?

he's an all or nothing type player at this stage. hit for hr or ko. hitting last i saw under .250. 1 HR in last 15 games and 4 in last 30. Means had 14 in the previous 74 games.

If Lauer were throwing a perfect  game through 6 innings on 54 pitches, then Schneider would have pulled him, but when Lauer is giving up 10 home runs in a start, that’s when JS wants more length.
