This is the type of move the Tampa Bay Rays would make.  Atkins still has a few tricks up his sleeve.

lol... he's a depth minor league option, nothing more. There's a reason he wasn't signed to a MLB deal.

He was great for us last year and can take the long role from Rodriguez who we can try in the 6th /7th inning role.  Worst case, this gives us a lefty that the bullpen desperately needs.

Trying to look under the hood to see why Yarbrough was so much better with the Jays than the Dodgers to see if his improvement is sustainable at all.

With the Dodgers he was:

• vs RHB: Truly a kitchen sink guy throwing his Changeup-Sinker-Curveball-Cutter-4 Seamer
• vs LHB: Sinker-4Seamer-Curveball

With the Jays he:

• vs RHB: quit throwing his cutter
• vs LHB: he cut back on the sinker a lot here and threw the 4 seamer a lot more

Idk if this changes anything for him or not but his peripherals were markedly better for us. Maybe he can stick.

LOL, no. Don't kid yourself, Shapiro was involved and had a large part of every move made this off season. He's just sheltering his little Boy Fuc Face from being pitchforked.
