Baltimore got rekt by the Nats, lmao. I f*ckin' love it. Gibson was DFA'd and Glassboy McCanadian O'Neill is back on the IL... 🖕

You gotta replace those guys in fantasy baseball now!

15-30 record. They are down to a 3% chance to make the Playoffs according to Fangraphs.

Their season is effectively over and they've wasted a year of their cheap core as their young players start to enter arbitration.

What a disaster!

I made one of best trades ever, in a highly competitive fantasy league last year and I’m not reaping the rewards of my wizardry:(

Acquiring Hunter Brown when all the chips were down. Paid only Valdez.

Starting his very next appearance after I traded for him, after maybe his first 10 starts last year, until this moment now, he’s likely the best SP in baseball.

I’m in Tampa and will go see him pitch from the very front row in the box in Tampa, with my kid. $50/per ticket including all fees

I could’ve gotten 2 rows back for $20 per ticket, but figured I may as well splurge. Not too often you get a see a regular season game at those prices

Cool story, bro.

Flores hit a routine grounder to 2nd as Massey was coming around the ball he falls and doesn't get the ball, scored a hit to mess up Bubic's no hitter, how lame is that, home team scoring, derp.

Well, at least the Royals got a hit here in the 7th. So he had really no chance with his pitch count at 90ish.

Who would have thought with the Dodgers starting pitching depth, that they'd lead the league in bullpen innings pitched?  Crazy

Injuries, they have guys from the pen going 2 to 3 innings as openers twice a week, like today, Dreyer opened for them. So Knack coming in as the bulk reliever innings go to the pen.

O's drop their 7th straight game to fall to 15-31.

They are just a game better than the Pirates, 2 games better than the White Sox and if the Rockies can somehow manage to hang on, the O's are only 6.5 games better than the worst team in baseball history. lmao

Gotta hit the Orioles opponents hard on the bet app now! You're going to cash in! Easy money!

I remember reading on this board at some point last season that Hunter Brown maybe wasn't that good lol.

The Orioles Fanboys sure are quite these days, aren't they? lmao

wrong ric flair GIF

I don't consider myself an Orioles fanboy, though might have come across as one here previously. Always said they had a young and exciting core and I still think they do. As for their front office complementing that young core, they've done a very poor job to date and are wasting these prime years of having guys like Gunnar and Rutchman under club control. Definitely fumbling their opportunity to be perennial contenders.

Makes you appreciate the ownership we have here in Toronto. At least we know Rogers will give the green light to spend on high end elite talent through free agency.

Overall, I will accept my tarring and feathering in regards to the Orioles.

Came in here to clown on the Orioles after a busy weekend, and happy to see the Terminator has been doing the needful. This might be the biggest ego check in MLB history - imaging thinking your brain was so much bigger than everyone else's that you just didn't need a rotation.

The fact they need to use openers twice a week is insane.

Yamamoto, Snell, Glasnow, May, Gonsolin, Miller, Kershaw, Ohtani, Knack, River Ryan, etc.

They were seemingly one of the deepest and best rotations in recent memory on paper - even with Kershaw and Ohtani unable to pitch to start the year.

Is there any timeline for Ohtani to pitch again?

Well, focus on the ticket prices in Tampa, I’m not sure everyone knows what a great deal you can get.

also, can someone confirm that I drafted Jacob Wilson in fantasy. I feel like I did but I’m not 100% certain

With all of these great moves, why were your teams always so bad?

Also, as I said on draft day, Braden Montgomery would be the next prospect that got my official seal of approval. I expect him to be Top 5-10 by mid-year rankings next year. Likely Top 5 and late year coffee

I believe Ohtani threw a 50 pitch bullpen recently so he's getting closer to game action off of the mound.

Like a couple months? This topic was on MLB NOW today, about their development of pitching and injury.

Hunter Brown was horrendous to start 2024 and had a 5+ ERA the prior year. There was a point in time where it was totally valid to think he might not be very good.

You’re the Sabr guy but I’d imagine SP with consistent 10/3 K/BB stick around rotations, unlike 5 ERA guys.

He was one of the most popular sleepers entering 2024 on the strength of his peripherals but he legit sucked in his first few weeks of 2024, with a measly 8.7% K-BB%. His K/9 was more like 9 and he was walking 5.55 per 9 and getting hammered as well.

I almost dropped him in the DDL. You don't get unlucky and have a 2.22 WHIP for that long. He legit sucked, but he figured it out and it clicked. I dunno what was wrong with him but it was like he was tipping or something.

Also, f you

You're spot on with this.  We believe we just had a conversation about what was wrong with him and one of the logical discussion points was that perhaps he just wasn't as good as originally expected.  Perfectly legitimate discussion for a message board to have.

I don't get people trying to dunk on others like it was this forgone conclusion he was one of the best pitchers in baseball.
