45 days until Spring Training! #45 is another popular number in Blue Jays history, and there are lots of good players among those who have worn it. I'm going with a hitter who is one of the most hyped prospects in team history - Travis Snider!

Funny Travis Snider story.

Went down to Boston in 2009 for my 21st birthday and the Jays were playing at Fenway at the end of August. Stayed at the same hotel as the Jays so saw a bunch of Jays players in the lobby hanging out or in the bar after the games. Saw Travis Snider walk in to the lobby with these two knockout blondes and took them back to his room. Lucky guy haha.

40 days until Spring Training! #40 has been a popular number in Toronto, worn by twenty total players and a few quite notable. I'm going with a world series winner and the longest tenured #40, it's reliever Mike Timlin!

@Spanky99I know you have a good one for this number today

39 days until Spring Training! Another very popular number in team history. I'm going with the only Canadian on the Jays inaugural roster back in 1977. Also continues to wear #39 today as first base coach of the D'Backs. An original Blue Jay, it's 2B Dave McKay

Timlin was a great choice.

38 days until Spring Training! #38 is another popular number worn by 25 players in team history. I'm going with a pitcher who had one of the best debut seasons of any Blue Jays player. Finishing sixth in AL Cy Young voting as a rookie in 1987, it's righty972778770.jpg.jpg Mark Eichorn !

36 days until Spring Training! Lots of good options for this one, but I'm going with an all-star pitcher who wore #36 for his initial stint with the Jays - it's David 'Boomer' Wells!

34 days until Spring Training! In the spirit of off season signings, let's go with a guy that was one of the Jays biggest FA splashes of his time. #34 is AJ Burnett ! 81635368.0.jpg

I appreciate AJ Burnett even more now. That offseason was so exciting when they signed Burnett, BJ Ryan, and traded for Glaus and Overbay! Burnett ended up being a great signing despite his first two years where he was on and off the IL. His 2008 season was awesome and having both him and Doc at the top of the rotation was fun to watch! The opt-out clause sucked for the Jays and then things started going downhill after in 2009, after losing Burnett to the Yankees, and losing both Marcum & McGowan to injuries for the entire season.

Burnett sucked with the Yankees and looked finished, though he ended up turning his career around at the age of 35 with the Pirates and put together a couple nice seasons until he retired after the 2015 season at the age of 38.

Thomas was solid in 2007 after coming off a 39 HR season with Oakland.

Sucks his 2008 season went the way it did, especially with the Jays.

35 days until Spring Training! Today's pick is the doubles hitting machine, 1B Lyle Overbay!

He was never the same after he broke his right hand in 2007.

Father Time decided 2008 and age 40 was finally the end to a legendary career.  The Big Hurt was the best.

I was a few rows back, sounded so bad, I won closest to the hole in a golf tournament for the 4 seats.

I also won 2 jersey's in a putting competition, I think you have them, hahahaha

Hildebrand and Lilly...  hahaha

If there is one thing we know about Snider it is that the dude could handle his meat.

37 days until Spring Training! #37 has been worn by a few beauties in team history, but one stands alone for both his longevity and greatness for the Jays. #37 is legendary pitcher Dave Stieb!!
