Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 (edited) The Blue Jays will start Chris Bassitt and Chicago will send out Nick Nastrini. The White Sox will start Nick Nastrini. The right-handed pitcher is 0-2 this season with an ERA of 7.88. He has started just two games this season with his last one coming on April 21. He has pitched eight innings in the big leagues this season and he has allowed seven runs during that stretch. He has struck out just eight batters through the first two starts. These two teams will meet with the first pitch slated for 7:07 P.M. EST. Edited May 22, 2024 by Omar
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2024 Author Posted May 22, 2024 Schneider giving Jano a day off his feet: "He's obviously swinging the bat really well. He'll be ready to go today if we need him at some point during the game," Schneider said. "It's a delicate balance (giving him time off from catching), and it's tough to take him out of the lineup, for sure, but you've got to trust everybody... and you don't want to run Jano into the ground."
wilko Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 I'm going to try and get my hands on 10 bobble heads today. If anyone wants one, check my ebay listings. GO JAYS!

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 Schneider giving Jano a day off his feet: Gotta love a manager who doesn't play with any sense of urgency. How soft is Jano that he can't go swing it 4 times and jog a few times everyday?

Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 If the Jays can’t beat that CWS lineup and SP tonight, might as well switch over to a beer softball league

Did you tune in early enough to watch Vlad put that awful swing on a center cut fastball? From the best fastball hitter on the planet in 2021 to one of the very worst. It's like he's stabbing us all in the eye with a fork.
Doubleplay21 Verified Member Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 When is the point of no return. 10 or 15 games under .500

Omar Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2024 Author Posted May 22, 2024 Biggio's swing looks like it's in slow motion.

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 Sure did And Buck calling him out on swinging at the s***** first pitch Oh good - you need to suffer like the rest of us. Biggio took note and followed suit.
Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted May 22, 2024 Posted May 22, 2024 Biggio's swing looks like it's in slow motion. It essentially is. 65.2 MPH swing speed. Kids on my U14 team swing harder. I've been a supporter of Biggio over the years, but I think it's time to move on.
