They overpaid for it because they showed their hand. That’s what they were setting out to do, going back to the Varsho trade. BTS can go stub his toe in a cow. Varsho was a career, below average bat. His 4.8 WAR was what got everyone’s pants tingling. There wasnt any offensive potential there unless you squinted until you could see it.

Same hitting coach and offense staff as last year and early indications are going to be the same pathetic offense. Need a hitting coach that is qualified and knows what the heck he is doing. Someone with a pedigree and track record is what the Jay's need. What is Martinez claim to fame that justifies him as an MLB hitting coach? Somebody please enlighten me.
