Great pitching today. Gausman means business!!

Unreal how he's looked without even a real Spring Training. A true #1

Also great to see Turner having great at bats. Even at his age, that he’s hitting the ball hard and not behind on the fastball is reason for optimism.

Still a bit scared about the bottom of the order long term but gotta take the wins while you can.

Spanky and term you guys keep fighting the good fight, I love it.

I didn't even bother coming here after the two L's because I knew the whiners would be out in full force

A split to start in that s*** hole Trop against that horse shoe up their ass team is a great way to get the season rolling!

This place has turned full blown homer

The Rays for all intents and purposes are projected the same as the Jays. Guys are acting like they just split with the Braves in Atlanta

At the house of horrors? You've gone full on pessimist contrarian, s*** happens I guess.¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Yeah, it must be way more fun being an insufferable f***ing twat of a baseball fan who whines about everything.

Don't even know why some of these people even follow the team if it makes them so miserable.

You'd think the Jays were in the midst of a 20+ year playoff drought and only spending $100 million a season the way some of you piss and moan.

Whatever floats your boat I guess.

I'd way rather be a "homer" and try to enjoy this team winning around 90 games a year and hope they find their mojo in the playoffs at some point.

IKF is going to suck with the bat. I promise you with a lifetime of mlb ABs to back it up. Focus is more on Varsho, Kirk, and Schneider, as the hope is they can hit, at least decent.

If you honestly believe that the rays are not going to be 95 game winners then you are making the same mistake as everyone the last 10 years

Ya I mean if mediocrity is your cup of tea you’ve got lots to cheer for

Ya I honestly believe they won’t win 95 with that rotation

Wow up to 121 guy is a stud

So you only like small sample sizes when it fits a negative narrative? Come on man.

For the record I hated the IKF signing too, but it’s done and it’s going to play out the way it plays out. Maybe we’re proven wrong (that’d be great).

Let’s go Jays!

Great game! Bats finally did something!

Schneider needs to be playing everyday. Can’t believe the front office is still f***ing around with him.

If you like whining like a bitch about a team that wins 90 games per year and makes the playoffs three of four years then you've got lots to whine about.

It was a joke. I don’t take anything from 4 game sample sizes

That’s the lineup of a team 10 games out of the wildcard playing out its last games in September. At least Gauseman is starting.

9 runs lol

How was the D today??

Turner?

Biggio?

IKF at 2nd?

No issues anywhere except a throwing error from Turner - not sure about him playing 3B. Clement had a couple nice plays and IKF ended the game with a great catch. Biggio looked really comfortable in RF.

This team is just clicking on all cylinders

The biggest problem with this roster as currently constructed is we only need one of Varsho or KK in the field most days. We needed a power hitting offensive player beside the defensive wizard in center. That could have been done by trading Varsho and signing KK, or just not signing KK and getting a that power hitting left fielder. Varsho had a lot of trade value last offseason. After he replicates his offensive production again this year, most of that value will be gone. Schneider could be an .800+ OPS guy, but most days you'll see KK in center and Varsho in left and a glut of IKF, Schneider, Clement and Biggio fighting for playing time at 2nd/3rd.

You hit a homer, you start next game! Hopefully.

No we aren't convinced at all lol. I don't think there is any way to justify the signing of IKF it never made sense. He isn't an everyday player and the Jays are already tons of options at the positions he plays.

It's almost like Ross woke up one day frustrated and just wanted to do something for the sake of doing it. Hard to imagine he had multiple multi year offers on the table. Seems like a guy you could have waited on and snagged him for 4 or 5 mill later if you really wanted him.

I’d think the path was to sign Chapman by correctly reading his market was s*** in conjunction with trading off some salary and relegating IKF to back up. Maybe not. But this path I don’t think was path a or b

I didn't like it either, but he seems like a good dude. Maybe a career year with the bat and a .700 OPS? That would be palatable.

Yeah, everyone and their sister knew we needed thump, they tried. We'll see regression from last years regulars for sure, projections seem to think so. I will fap to wRC+ it's the best tool to weigh offense, don't be obtuse.

They tried?? Soler was right there. Bellinger. Chapman. JDM. All these guys were cheap cheap.
