Not a fan of Vggelbach and Schneider's two strike approaches, both were late on the fastball. Vogelbach fouled his off and struck out on a back up elevated slider, but Schneider was just late.

Stop guessing at what's coming boys.

No statcast today is annoying. I'd like to look und

er the hood.

HIs fastball is like 88-89 mph, throws a slider/sweeper, curve and change. Probably safe to say his stuff is similar to last year. He'd going into his age 37 season so probably not much new stuff to find.

Probably not but we are in a new era where we can track everyone's pitches and compare them to last year. Even vets come in to Spring with new tricks up their sleeve.

How many seeing eye singles will Schneider squeak through the infield this season?

give Barger a shot as a 4th OF, he's essentially Vogel at the plate but can play the field.

Please explain your thought process here when the Jays have 3 extremely good OF, two of which hit LH and all 3 of which are capable of playing CF.

The 4th OF for the Jays pretty much needs to be RH. I dont think Vogelback makes the team in any case unless he has such a monster spring that it can't be ignored, but even then his role is so limited in that he's a LH pinch hitter and DH who should never see a PA against LHP, why would you want to put a guy like Barger in that role when Barger actually has the chance to be an everyday guy?

Here's the statcast stuff from his last appearance on Feb 28th vs Tampa

Barger hitting the 60th percentile projections as a 3B/RF would be a pretty sweet addition to the team. And you're right, him being able to play the field (over Vogelbach who can't) means less Turner at 3B, more DH days for Springer, etc.

I figure Espinal will be the backup 3b, Biggio and/or Clement as the backup backups

I dont think there's plans to use Turner at 3b unless there's a TON of ongoing injuries, or a very weird one off in game situation in a blowout and they stick him there just because.

Really? It was mentioned in pretty much every game he played in last season. lol

Already yelling at my brain for not retaining this Schneider fact lol

Cam Eden jogging his way to bring thrown out, wow.

Play was right in front of him too, just a piss poor decision to try for 3rd there. Out by like 20 feet.

my logic is I want Barger in the majors. He's 24 and needs to be tested - 4th OF or otherwise makes no difference

Barger hitting his 60th percentile projections probably makes him a better option at 3B against righties than those other guys too.

time to move on from Espinal, players like him are a dime a dozen, Dodgers pick up players like this every season - as the 26th man / util player

Yeah if rather have a good LHB 4th OF than a s***** RGB 4th OF

They can platoon KK by putting DS in LF anyway
