Oof! Zulu just got destroyed

 

Meh, defense let him down, couple of dribblers that snuck through, terrible contact went for an IF hit. Could have been out of it with no damage pretty easily. Slider was inconsistent.

9 hits, 7 singles, 0 home runs. Blue Jays baseball is back. At least they seem to be pulling the singles rather than shooting them the other way. Baby steps.

 

Seriously though, the Jays need Vlad to be 2021 Vlad in about the worst way. Schneider at 2B should be an improvement power-wise, and hopefully Springer rebounds a bit (they seemed to acknowledge he wasn't pulling the ball in 2023 as much as he should have so maybe there's hope). This is why I was hoping for a Jorge Soler signing. They need more power badly.

2021 Vlad was probably that way in large part due to Dunedin, Buffalo and old hitters park Rogers Center.

Spanky told me the park is neutral, you’re wrong.

 

Just a coincidence that Vlad, Semien, Teo, Kirk, etc all had career years.

K..... just pointed out the park factor. I was wrong anyhow, it was Sahlen field with the below neutral park factor, Dunedin was a good hitting park 20% above neutral. They only played 38 games there, though.
