I don’t know why he feels the continual need to come to Wander’s defense

I'm not surprised that the guy who boasts about trips overseas to "shop for women", would sympathize with a predator. Sees through a similar lens.

Forfeiting 2nd rounder and intl money for Hader to give up soft pulled flyball homers in that park. Astros decline in full swing

Yeah totally awful signing as Hader's expected home runs would go from 4 all the way to 6 playing in Houston.

It's dumb process to give that contract to a pitcher with that profile when you already have a top closer and Haders zone % is dropping and his Z contact is climbing

There's far less margin for error at minute maid

He obviously might still be good all 4 years, it's just dumb process that peak Astros would never do

Edit all 5 years!

I think it's a bad idea to hand out this type of deal to a reliever in the first place. Hader in particular has been rotating between really good years and relatively poor years since the shortened 2020 season so it's far from a given what he's going to provide year over year. The outstanding quality of contact metrics easily overcame the walk issues in 2023 but given that he has been homer prone in certain seasons that is certainly cause for concern.

I’ll try not to carry on as Dick Pole kind of acted as the voice of reason to lay out to you what a pedo is. What Franco did is also clearly defined

Jailbait is slang[1][2] for a person who is younger than the legal age of consent for sexual activity and usually appears older, with the implication that a person above the age of consent might find them sexually attractive.[3] The term jailbait is derived from the fact that engaging in sexual activity with someone who is under the age of consent is classified as statutory rape[3] or by an equivalent term.[4]

Not only physically, but the girl was also well advanced in street years. She basically shook Wander down in the end. He was looking for love and control, she wanted to get paid. That’s not victim blaming as she was 14 and he’s done now. But it wasn’t like an R Kelly situation where she’s locked in the basement under mind control. Seems Franco never could get her under his spell, as she was with another guy while he’s sending highly incriminating texts telling her to come back.

Anyways, He took the bait. He’s likely going to jail. Pedo is a sickness that never goes away.

So it’s a problem if they’re under mind control, and then admit the only difference is that Franco couldn’t successfully groom and control this 14 year old

It’s a problem and he goes to jail either way. I’m not sure how I was saying either way is ok. He tried and he failed. If anything it kind of makes him look like a chump. He’s the guy the girl moved on from and he’s still texting

There’s two types of criminals. One that can successfully rehabilitate and one that can’t.

Again using the Michael Vick thing and as an animal lover. I think he deserves the second chance after jail and the permanent Scarlet A.

That’s all I’m saying. Can agree with it or not. But I’m not saying he doesn’t deserve jail

Posted

Even if he comes back in couple years, people will still call him pedo on the on deck circle. Some teammates won’t want anything to do with him, Jail won’t be the end of it.

It’ll be a hard, if not impossible road to redemption like Vick.

Not even saying be a sociopath here. Anyone have a grown son that age, or that’s been that age? You wouldn’t want them to have any shot at even some sort of redemption? Of course we raise our kids not to do these things, luckily mine doesn’t have a spot on even his school record and will go for his MBA after next year. But also not everyone has good parents, or people guiding them in their life decisions.

Anyways, I know I’m repeating myself to the same people lol. Whatever. Is what it is

Since you have the last 4 consecutive posts it seems that you are repeating the same thing over and over to yourself. I vote you as most likely to take over for Frenchsoup as resident crazy guy although it appears as though his ban may have ended so the competition will be fierce.

Connorp is far more mentally stable than Frenchsoup, even with his obvious sociopathology. The main difference is connorp is aware of his issues at a deeper level and has enough intelligence to work within his limits. I doubt he’s medicated.

Frenchy is probably a walking pharmacy and if I had to guess, paranoid schizophrenic.

I started Adderall. It helps my mind from wandering and thinking about the universe and such too much. Doesn’t work like a pure stimulant, so maybe I had kind of half ADHD. I talk super fast in person and try to get out too much, too quick.

No sort of anti-psychotic/depressant or any of that stuff though. I tried anti-d one time at a certain period in my life and I vividly remember the first couple days in felt like Venom, where like an alien virus was taking over my brain. Very trippy lol. I think those kind of things are meant to numb your mind and mine wasn’t having it

I should say I stuck with it for a bit, but definitely found it numbed my wits.

You should try Ayahuasca or Psilocybin in a controlled environment with a coach.

Actually I definitely would. Heard about the former.

A stimulant to someone with ADHD just levels out the craving for dopamine and other chemicals that the brain produces in too small a quantity. There’s three types of ADHD in hyper, inattentive and combination.

As someone with ADHD who was diagnosed in 2023 I’ve found the difference in how my day to day functions on medication are that I do things like remember to eat, do laundry, actually put laundry away, don’t look for excuses to not go to work and I hyperfixate on hobbies less.

I agree with Max, Connor is a complete maniac. French soup and other tier 1 posters like me, max, sorrow and Carlos just want to talk baseball normally.

But I don’t think you can ban him for his mental illness because that has lawsuit written all over it

I’m not sure collusion has ever been proven in any sport but idk

Game changer for me as well no doubt. Work performance up 5x at least.

See MLB in the 80s… Bud Selig himself was smack dab in the middle of the collusion scandal which ended up costing the MLB owners at the time 280 million dollars after losing 3 straight grievances from the players union

Then there was the whole gentleman’s agreement to not let black players play all those years…same thing.

I meant a specific player. I think NFL gave Colin K some money bc they were on the wrong side of the media but never admitted guilt. It’s about not signing Player X bc of the negative attention he may bring. So now you have Bauer, Bonds, etc. I mean most teams it’s hard to say they couldn’t use Bauer. But if you say he’s not worth the headache, can’t do much.

Posted

Colin K they had to do something because basically the media and Rev Jesse Jackson were harassing teams for years any time an opening came up at even backup QB. Someone like Bauer/Wander is diff.

Anyways, so I’m saying there’s likely no lawsuit for these guys. However, putting the tin foil hat on for a second, I wonder if there really is collusion with Bauer say. Like if the owner of the Texas teams and such have talked with some other owners and say they wouldn’t break ranks on signing him. Certainly possible. You’d have to know the fraternal mode of operation. But unless someone was a whistleblower, not much a player can do

I’d think if I were Bauer’s team of handlers, I’d take the nuclear option after ST starts and sue. If he doesn’t sign this year, don’t think he’s ever signing.

Yeah that's just what Bauer needs, advice from a creep

He probably accidentally ordered a 14 year old wife. He might of assumed she was older from the listing.

I doubt Bauer would waste money on lawyers, on a case he can't win

John Brebbia signed a one-year, $5.5 million contract with the White Sox on Saturday, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports.

Nice pickup for $5.5M.
