I think his control being s*** was more the problem than anything. His velo is probably lower as a starter than a reliever anyway so hard to make conclusions there without looking further into it.

yea and Atkins opted not to bring trout to Toronto when we could have had the angels eat 1/2 that contract. If they got that deal done we would have got Ohtani too, Ohtani always plays where trout plays. Well the last 5 years at least. Not this year, but they can still hang out because they are in LA.
