Laika Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Yeah he has looked bad Most recent Rates & Barrels, Eno was talking about benching him vs. the Brewers lmao
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Him and the Padres needed that. He'd been woeful to start the season. Not exactly the kind of start they envisioned for the centrepiece return to the Soto trade. Was it his velo by chance, Org?
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 I've noticed a lot of guys and even elite as Gausman for example, with either cold weather or dead arm issues, that's kind of prone to this time of season.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Was it his velo by chance, Org? I think his control being s*** was more the problem than anything. His velo is probably lower as a starter than a reliever anyway so hard to make conclusions there without looking further into it.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 CJ Abrams came into the league as a twig with no pop but he looks thicc now
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Michael King's chucking a No-No through 7. from reliever to a torp, that doesn't happen too often
Ray Verified Member Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Holliday busting would be an amazing development Another 0-3 with 2K today Mega bust.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 17, 2024 Posted April 17, 2024 Another 0-3 with 2K today Mega bust. He’ll be going on a holiday to Norfolk if he keeps this up

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 Angels scored two in the top of 9 to beat those s*** stain Rays Nicely done Trout with his 8th HR tonight also. So amazing to see him off to a dominating start. It's so good for baseball.
Eat My Shatkins Verified Member Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 yea and Atkins opted not to bring trout to Toronto when we could have had the angels eat 1/2 that contract. If they got that deal done we would have got Ohtani too, Ohtani always plays where trout plays. Well the last 5 years at least. Not this year, but they can still hang out because they are in LA. Say what now? Let's have a source on that one plz

glory Old-Timey Member Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 The Astros are 6-14 to start the year. Obviously a s*** load of time left to right the ship, but these losses early add up. The Astros having a down year would certainly help the Jays chances of getting a playoff spot.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 10-9 gets you first place in the AL West but last place in the AL East right now Crazy

Also, Blanco, Javier. Their depth SP have just been disastrous. Hunter Brown lost his fastball or something. JP France needs to move to France. The Spencer Spaghetti guy got hammered. A few of their good relievers have been rocked. Is it over? The pitching magic is gone? Probably.

Laika Community Moderator Posted April 18, 2024 Posted April 18, 2024 Hader has been an absolute disaster for them so far, kinda feel bad… but not really. Josh Hader and Jose Abreu Two amazing FA signings Smells like a meddling owner to me

Brownie19 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 It's still super early, but: Jung Hoo Lee - 92 wRC+ Chapman - 82 wRC+ Snell - 12.86 ERA, BB/9 over 5 Bellinger - 75 wRC+ Moreno - 86 wRC+

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 Elly base hit, steals 2nd, steals 3rd... ho hum.
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 19, 2024 Posted April 19, 2024 Bohm hit two 3 run bombs off Crochet in consecutive AB's, impressive.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Soto is on fire. I seem to remember him being a slow starter, of course not this year… Could be an MVP-type season unfolding
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 92 pitches and no walks from Manoah today? wut?
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Soto is on fire. I seem to remember him being a slow starter, of course not this year… Could be an MVP-type season unfolding And a 500M contract incoming.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Soto is on fire. I seem to remember him being a slow starter, of course not this year… Could be an MVP-type season unfolding He's favourite now in Vegas for AL MVP. Bobby Witt Jr. is second favourite and Mike Trout is third favourite. I bet Bobby Witt Jr at 21 to 1 before the season. Now he's 5.50 to 1.
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Aaron Judge getting booed at Yankee Stadium lol. 4 K day for him.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 20, 2024 Posted April 20, 2024 Aaron Judge getting booed at Yankee Stadium lol. 4 K day for him. What I find funny is how the Yankees now love Soto and all his antics. I seem to remember them criticizing guys like Vlad and Springer for celebrating too much, its only April blah blah. Now Soto is out there doing s*** way over the top (his homer last night) and apparently its ok now. f***ing douches
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted April 21, 2024 Posted April 21, 2024 The Chisox have won one in their last nine games. Lost again today. On the road to a 100+ losses on the season. They have six position players with an ops+ under 40!!!! God they stink.
