Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 Yikes. What an awful trade that's been for them. TBH it's hard to come up with a non-awful A's trade
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted April 1, 2024 Posted April 1, 2024 Would Bart be an upgrade on Serven before Jansen is back? I don’t think so
CJ-Freeway Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Holy f*** the Rockies are bad. Sharp groundball to LF with 1st and 2nd on, goes under the glove of Jones, two runners score with the hitter reaching third, then on the relay throw it’s bobbled which leads Morel on third to come home easily. Embarrassing. Poverty franchise
Orgfiller Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Would Bart be an upgrade on Serven before Jansen is back? He’s not a good framer, so unless they think he’s not totally cooked with the bat, probably not.

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Clev re-signed with the Sox Yeah, saw that on the ticker, finally.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Teo beasting... I actually didn’t do any prep for the redraft but I would’ve been looking for him in this later rounds. Not sure where he went but will likely be a huge steal
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Is Josh Jung in the same category as Royce Lewis? At least right below him I’d say. Glad I don’t have both anymore
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Dodgers and Braves are so dangerous, lol.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 I’m the Rock, bitch. Star of the Show. You’re a main guy but if I can remember my characters from back in the day when I watched it, Dusty Rhodes?

Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Nice to see Trout raking out of the gate, stay healthy friendo.

connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Jung was hit by a pitch, meat. lol... you're so dumn. So was Danny Jansen and 10 other guys. Some guys it just seems like it just means doom. Don’t forget Jung missed all the time last year. Missed most of the season before he premiered. Red flags there
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 So was Danny Jansen and 10 other guys. Some guys it just seems like it just means doom. Don’t forget Jung missed all the time last year. Missed most of the season before he premiered. Red flags there The Minnesota Twins’ young star’s season lasted only three innings before he sustained a severe right quad strain that has him going back on the IL for the fifth time in his career, a team source said. He missed the entire 2021 season and the first part of 2022 with a torn ACL. He returned that May and suffered another torn ACL, which wiped out the rest of 2022 and the first 53 games of last season. Lewis, 24, also went on the IL in 2023 with an oblique strain and a right hamstring injury. One of these guys are not like the other. One of these guys are not like the other, meat... fractures don't count, that's a fluke. Jung missed much of his 2021 minor league season with a stress fracture in his foot. In 2022, he had surgery to repair a torn labrum in his left shoulder but made his MLB debut with the Rangers as a September call-up.
jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Dodgers and Braves are so dangerous, lol. Both lineups are insane top to bottom. You can feel confident betting them even when they're down a couple of runs in the 6th or 7th inning. Pitching wise, I think the Dodgers could use one more arm in their rotation. It seems a bit thin, especially if they lose a key arm to injury.

Austin Barnes Even GREAT offenses have holes in their lineups...

That’s 3 major things for him already the last couple years. “Fluke” things happen in baseball every day. Hbp, running into a wall, awkward slide, etc. Some guys just seem to not get through those like others. At what point isn’t Danny Jansens metacarpal or whatever getting fractured a fluke?
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Some guys definitely do just have weaker bones, it has to be the case. Or they stand closer to the plate or have SOMETHING physical going on that makes them break more bones. Jung has crossed the line. That many injuries is nuts.
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Suck on that Spanky! Unless that’s a personal attack Jung is a red flag
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Guys can get hit with the same pitch, same place, same speed everything and it’s going to be a different result each time in most cases
Spanky__99 Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Suck on that Spanky! Unless that’s a personal attack Jung is a red flag Nah, nothing even close to Lewis. Yer both dumn.
Laika Community Moderator Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Nah, nothing even close to Lewis. Yer both dumn. well yeah, Royce Lewis is on a different level of injury prone if we were giving them injury risk grades Lewis would be an F
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Nah, nothing even close to Lewis. Yer both dumn. That I wouldn’t debate. Lewis is on the top tier with Buxton
BTS Community Moderator Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Wait, isn't Jung also a connor guy, or am I misremembering?
connorp Old-Timey Member Posted April 2, 2024 Posted April 2, 2024 Wait, isn't Jung also a connor guy, or am I misremembering? I traded him for one for one in bored for Holliday. Happy with that. I did a terrible trade with him in Bbdl that ranks as one of my worst in recent years. He was out all year and I needed a 3b and traded for Hayes, who the shine was gone on after his full season. I never really liked him coming up
