My brother used to have a program that hacked into every users internet in my city and vote for his fake Bikini website to get onto top 10 lists. Then when someone clicked on the dead link he got 3 cents. Until Shaw shut down the hacking. I imagine they aren’t making more than like 25 cents per pop up ad so maybe a few thousand a month.

I would be cautious of these guys in "the know posts". I saw that guy who was the first to announce/broke Freeman was signing with the Dodgers, also posted the other day that Ohtani will is close to signing a $600 million dollar deal with the Dodgers.

 

There are guys in the, "know" on both/all sides..

 

Also, if it was so secret that only certain execs were involved and the edict is loose lips sink ships, how would a guy not in the loop, know how the meeting went in Dunedin...???

 

Could be valid info, might be fluff... I would really take all non confirmed/verified sources that don't have to put their pro reputation on the line and confirm and crosscheck with a grain of salt..

 

I think I told this story before.. However, Vernon Wells told me to my face in a private setting he was NOT signing with the Jays and was going to play in Texas. Basically he was like f*** NO he is not signing with the Jays... Fast fwd and we all know what happened when we threw enough $$ at him.

I wonder if the Jays/Ohtani would keep a signing under wraps for a few days and allow the Jays to work on a few other things while teams like the Dodgers, Giants etc were stuck in limbo, which are also teams rumored to be in on Yamamoto.

That sounds awful. Today I stayed at home and watched the Ottawa Senators dominate a hockey game, only for my teams only good goalie to stand on his head to somehow have the lead. Then he got hurt, and will be for a while. I don't think either of us had fun.

While I'm annoyed about waiting for Ohtani's decision, these reporters take it to another level. Ohtani can drag this to March if he wants to. He doesn't owe it to anyone to make his decision on other people's time.

 

Maybe he entered negotiations only thinking about himself and has now seen there's a chance that he can bring his buddies from Japan (Yamamoto and Lee) along to the same team too. This would take a lot longer for things to get done but the point remains, he owes nobody anything about his decision making process.

 

Also, he has the whole baseball world on the edge of their seats. Guys like me just check in here and there usually but I've been glued to this story the whole time. So you can argue that he's actually bringing more attention to the sport for longer by dragging this along...

Sens actually played well and deserved to win that game.

 

If it makes you feel better it can take 95 Min to drive 3 KM in Toronto and you're paying $40 for parking and $25 for a beer.
