Kikuchi was warming up either in the 1st or 2nd inning. I know JS loves pulling starters early, especially when they are doing well, but this call isn't on him. It's on whoever made the call above him.

When we had the best offence we got steamrolled by KC’s bullpen, it’s not that simple. Winning a World Series requires an amazing all round team and we haven’t ever really had that. 2015 was the closest we’ve been since I’ve been a fan

I'm done with Atkins after this. I've always been in the middle of the two extremes that either hate him or think he's doing great (neither are true...he's firmly in between), but after today's game I don't think I'll be able to stomach watching this front office run it back in 2024 and expect different results.

Things can still change, but so far this series has gone as most of us would have expected. The hitting and IQ on this team overall just isn't good enough. I'm not sure where I'd go from here, but I wouldn't fire Atkins because on the whole the management team has build a team that can consistently push 90 wins.
