hanton Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 sac bunt? ok kinda weird with Eovaldi not throwing strikes
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Dbacks lookin like the Jays tonight
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Texas gets out of it. Eovaldi is Houdini tonight.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Gurriel calling off Thomas to make that catch LOL that was as good catch
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 This is peak Blue Jays baseball
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Cant really put anything on Gallen, dude did his job
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 How comfortable do you think Bochy is going to Chapman here with a 1 run lead to the top of the order... scale of 1-10. I know he'd say 10, but.... maybe a 4?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Ump has been fairly consistently bad at the bottom of the strike zone tonight
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 yea the 1st pitch to Carrol was right at the bottom of the zone, clearly a strike
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Cant really put anything on Gallen, dude did his job but should have been out of the game. idea in these scoreless games is to get your guy out before he gives up a run.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 GOtta put Seager on here to get the force play at home
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Remember when Semien signed in Texas and many Jays fans said "I guess he doesn't want to win"
TheHurl Site Manager Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 GOtta put Seager on here to get the force play at home you got your best pitcher. I don't mind them challenging him on the corners.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 you got your best pitcher. I don't mind them challenging him on the corners. Pretty much the unintentional intentional walk and tried to get lucky with Seager getting himself out. DIdnt work, Seager only chased 2 of the 6 balls.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Ginkel coming in clutch. Getting Texas to watch the killable fastballs because theyre all looking slider.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Remember when Semien signed in Texas and many Jays fans said "I guess he doesn't want to win" That was a fair comment at the time
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Ooof thats a huge error by Thomas. But the 2nd run was probably enough. Sewald been pretty s*** this series GG Dbacks.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Well the long Tex wait for a ring is over. They had some serious balls with those signings. Got to tip your cap.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Well the long Tex wait for a ring is over. They had some serious balls with those signings. Got to tip your cap. Its funny because of the 2010, 2011, 2023 Rangers WS teams, this is probably the weakest. But they get it done. Phils/Rangers would have been a much better series. Dbacks overrated af
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 If the Dbacks had some more elite bats like Semien and Seager then they could’ve won this. Instead they have a bunch of scrubs like Carroll and Walker
thatoneguy Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Bochy has to be getting up there in the pantheon of greatest managers of all time at this point.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Bochy has to be getting up there in the pantheon of greatest managers of all time at this point. Boss move would be to go back into retirement immediately haha
Jimcanuck Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 D'backs played tonight like Jays did all year
Dick_Pole Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 And there is the end to one of the most unsatisfying baseball seasons both from a perspective Jays fan and baseball in general that I have lived through. Imagine 2023 without the pitch clock lol.
MikeM3 Verified Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 In the land of big brain teams it was a big balls team who said f*** it Yolo and won. Although I think their hitting coach is probably the best in the game
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 I picked Seager for the mvp before the series started. Game one was a blast but pretty average from there on. Pretty much as we all suspected, Texas stomps them. Not very inspiring as can be seen by the low number of comments in the post season thread. Bring on the offseason.
Masterbather Old-Timey Member Posted November 2, 2023 Posted November 2, 2023 Well it goes to show that Cinderella teams can go far but it's rare that they finish the deal. Texas found enough pitching which is all their offense needed.
