Well, Max it was like, don’t think you’re Superman returning to save the team. DeGrom he’s not

García stings. Hopefully they still pull it out

Arizona definitely catching a break.

If TEX can finally win a world series, all the huge rolls on Max, deGrom, Semien and Seager will forever be tolerated, even at the ugly contracts back end.

Flags fly forever.

It’ll be good for baseball if AZ can make the game interesting…as long as Tex still wins

is that a quote from Atkins :D

D-Backs suck!

Also, Rangers are a very average team

They're about to win ten consecutive post season road games. They're tough to beat.

Honestly what do the DBacks even expect throwing out these scrubs relief arms

There HAD to be a better way to map out this series than this in game 4

Yup those contracts/signings looked terribly stupid at the time, but hey if it works it works

Look how Seager takes off out of the box on contact instead of admiring it and making himself look like a fool if it goes off the wall for a long single.

Any similarity to current Blue Jays is purely coincidental.:P

The Rangers are a legitimately good team. The D-Backs are average at best. It looks like Arizona's luck is starting to run out.

Can’t help but think the Phillies would’ve made for a more enjoyable WS than this. Diamondbacks are kind of a chore to watch.

Talk about bats for the PS. Semien, best player in bb Seager, Cuban Teo… Jung should be next Riley. Top 10 prospect in Evans that delivered. Then you have your secondary pieces like the Jays B. Belt (Garver) who delivered. Lowe solid but was s***** most of PS. Definitely no fluke. Soon to be WS champs

They needed their 1-2 SPs to repeat their season and they did. I’ve always been a big Eovaldi believer but I thought he was going into the PS broken

Yeah. Texas has a roster befitting a world series champion. Garcia and Heim turning into legit all-stars and then Jung, Carter, and Taveras breaking in and playing like above-average regulars gives them maybe the deepest lineup in baseball. Didn't see it coming in the offseason but can't deny how good they are now. And doing it without DeGrom is pretty crazy.

You must’ve missed my post in the other thread:

Seager- best player in baseball

Semien- best 2b in AL

García- What we desperately needed Teo to be this year

Jung- Top 30ish Dynasty asset at this point- next Riley

Carter-Don’t be jealous when a top 5-10 prospect pops off

Garver is Belt, that guys wanted to count as big bat

Pitching was always the weakness

But in the playoffs:

- Eovaldi has been great (I think he was injured but I guess he found a way to pitch through it)

- Montgomery has been super lucky (his playoff K and BB rates per9 are 4.94 and 1.45, lmao)

- They have been very lucky to not get burned more often by the bullpen.

Sporz, Gray, Bradford, Leclerc, and Chapman all have ERAs of 3.29 or less, but Gray is the only one with the DIPS to back it up; Sborz, Chapman, Leclerc, and Bradford all have significantly higher xFIPs and obviously mediocre or poor K and BB rates.

They haven't really needed Scherzer or Heaney to be good.

So yeah. Elite offense + one SP beasting (Eovaldi) + lots of luck with other pitchers = World Series.

That all sounds about right. I was hoping for more late inning theatrics from the Rangers bullpen, but it was Arizona's bullpen that blew up in Game 1. Eovaldi is really starting to make a name for himself as a playoff performer. He's a fun guy to watch and cheer for.
