Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 So I guess Bassitt has solidified himself as the no.2 starter in a series now.
Carlos Danger Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Full on E for Chapman. Don’t see that often. Just missed it going to his left and off his glove. Our own official scorer is screwing Bassitt’s line.
Ehjays Verified Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 LOL @ someone getting a free Bryce Harper souvenir helmet because he was pissed off Yes and signed!!
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Nah, rather have him rested to start the Tampa series. If we play Tampa in the playoffs do you want to give them more looks at our closer in what is likely a meaningless series to end the season?
JFD Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Gotta let him get to 200 now for sure

He does have the propensity to give up home runs, that's the only concern with him but I have to agree, with the way he's been rolling, statistically it shouldn't be him, but he looks like that guy right now. Although, strategically maybe you save him for a potential game three and then he could be your game one starter if you advance.
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 what a massive game from bassitt, he was awesome
TheHurl Site Manager Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 If we play Tampa in the playoffs do you want to give them more looks at our closer in what is likely a meaningless series to end the season? pfft. Tampa doesn't do anything with information

Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 If we play Tampa in the playoffs do you want to give them more looks at our closer in what is likely a meaningless series to end the season? We might still need another win, so we might need him for a save tomorrow.

So Gausman is obviously game 1, Berrios game 2, Bassit possible for game 3? Kikuchi ready to step in for either Berrios or Bassitt if they stink early on?
Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Who you like for WC rotation, game 1 through 3? We know who goes number one, I probably go with Berrios 2 and Bassitt 3, if you win game one. Otherwise Bassitt for game two if you lose game one since it's a tougher matchup. Also gives you Kikuchi for the bullpen which is an idea I'm very in favour of.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 If we play Tampa in the playoffs do you want to give them more looks at our closer in what is likely a meaningless series to end the season? True, but i think you would want Romano to get at least an inning in this weekend regardless.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 The good thing about only needing two-thirds of an inning is that it allows Bassitt to walk off to an ovation also.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 True, but i think you would want Romano to get at least an inning in this weekend regardless. Maybe but I think if a WC spot is nailed down, we’re gonna see more of Pearson than we really want to
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Nice moment. We haven't had many this season.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Wow, what a fitting way to get the last out to get to 200.
Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 And they cut away during his dugout celebration? Sportsnet is brain dead.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2023 Author Posted September 29, 2023 Very cool moment for Bassit. It’s clear how much he wanted that and so did his teammates.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Nice moment. We haven't had many this season. Yeah that definitely helps wash out the rancid taste of the last couple of days lol
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 200 is the new 300. Well done Hound!!
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 Nice moment. We haven't had many this season. There was another?
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 And they cut away during his dugout celebration? Sportsnet is brain dead. Garbage, pure trrash network

Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 There was another? That actually made me lol
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 We have three outs to win the game with a six run lead and Schneider has every swinging dick in the bullpen warming up:confused:
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 29, 2023 Posted September 29, 2023 That actually made me lol Gausman 200th strikeout?
