Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 27, 2023 Posted September 27, 2023 Man, this team is just so friggin uninspiring. The Rogers Center is as dead as it can be. Did you expect us to score much against the King or Cole? Gausman gave us a shot yesterday but our pitching had to be perfect. This is the offense people think could win games in the postseason against mostly very good pitching. 150 games in and people still think something's going to change.

This offense is friggin pathetic. I've said many times that this is the worst good team I've ever seen as a Jays fan. There are 5 games left and most fans don't give a s*** about the team. I got offered free level 100 tickets today and said pass lol.
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 who is this cole guy anyway we're making him look like cy young........oh wait To be fair, most pitchers look like CY Young winners against us.

There's not many 1-2 combos on the level of Cole and King.
Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 I don't think she dates minor leaguers. But I do know someone (well friend of an acquaintance) who has a picture of Matt Dillon on their iPhone from when they saw him at a restaurant in Vancouver. Also know someone who said Pavel Bure accidentally kicked their foot (good chance it was actually his foot based on where he was sitting and his reaction) under a table at some dinner once like 25 years ago. Well that's very snobby of her, maybe she would have been happier had she not always aimed for these big time celebrities. She might have had children and a family just like she always wanted, but she had to go with the big stars and the big stars are usually bad boyfriends. I think you would have treated Jennifer Aniston very well. She would have been very happy today.

I am more dissatisfied with the approach. They have seen this guys enough to understand. They are still trying to pull. The AB approach is awful and the supposed hitting coaches or strategic coaches are piss poor. They are good pitchers I understand that but 3 hits yesterday and so far 1 today? Come one
bones10 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 40 pitches already through 4 innings, going to be tough

Come one You can't slap singles against good pitching consistently, so taking a pull- centric approach makes sense to maximize damage if you do make contact. If anything the hitting coaches are preaching the slap happy up the middle or other way philosophy
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Did you expect us to score much against the King or Cole? No. This offense has struggled against much lesser arms than these two, too often. Cole chewing us up. 46 pitches through 4.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 I always hated when a manager comes out like that after a punch out
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 like what could Walker possibly be telling Berrios
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 like what could Walker possibly be telling Berrios Pitch around him.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Pitch around him. and taking Berrios and Kirk out of their rhythm - I don't like it
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Pitch around him. One of the few times I agree with Buck, just put him on and don't waste the pitches then.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 I can bet Berrios also hates it
Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 No. This offense has struggled against much lesser arms than these two, too often. Cole chewing us up. 46 pitches through 4. This is the point I've made about our starting pitching that gets people mad. I say our starting pitching beyond Gausman is not good enough for our offense, which is not a criticism, but guys like Berrios and Kikuchi and Bassitt will often give up two to four runs against decent teams. It's not a killer amount of runs but the problem is our offense is so bad against any sort of good pitching that it's enough to bury us. Our starters are not good enough to carry this offense in this offense is not good enough to carry good pitching. It needs to be damn near elite pitching for us to have a chance.
hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 thank you Schnieder and Walker
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Wonder why Kirk called for that ball to be cut, looked like they had Judge to me
Delgalladay Verified Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Whelp. Officially over now. This offense felt more watchable when Belt and Chapman were out for some reason.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Totally disagree That's fine..it's okay to be completely wrong. No laws against it

James Key Verified Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 What are the hitting at home vs on the road splits? These guys can’t be this bad due to the new Renos. Why do they just curl up and die at home?
Jays24 Old-Timey Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 Man they totally had Judge. Chapman you f***ing idiot. The one thing you're supposed to be good at, you keep sucking at too.
Steeljays Verified Member Posted September 28, 2023 Posted September 28, 2023 That's fine..it's okay to be completely wrong. No laws against it Slap hits create more pitches and perhaps a pitch count and a P change. But keep whatever is working I guess. No law against that
