hanton Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Saw today that Keith Law remains thoroughly unimpressed with Davis over larger sample size. Not surprised, he didn't make any of his lists - not going to admit he's wrong now
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 I had a feeling we would see a pen arm in the 7th. John Schneider had that look about him, like he was holding in a piss for the last hour. Berrios had no chance.

Hasn’t pitched much lately so get him in there
Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Kirk's pitch framing really is art.

Yes was just speaking with someone on this, let the season play out and let's see what he brings coming into next season. Also, haven't seen enough of him at 2B - how does he turn the dp? his range ....etc need to see more

Its still so puzzling to me why he left a grinding Bassitt in for the 6th at 95 struggling pitches the other night, by yanks a shoving Berrios tonight @ 90.

Was just gonna type something similar but you beat me to it. It make zero sense. He is like a guy trying to steady a canoe from tipping over; every time he leans one way it goes the other and eventually tips over.

Steeljays Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Cant believe we struggled against TEX pitchers and now TEX is getting slapped around again by CLE. So frustrating
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 The time period just keeps climbing by the post. Not sure what you mean. Hurl’s 20 year streak is very well known
Captain_Obvious Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 So that's why we did not win games against Texas. Our pitching allowed at least a run in all games in that series. All we have to do is allow no runs and we can win!
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 In this game we could let 2 in. We had more margin for error. If we got 4 we could let in 3. 5 and 4. So on. Wow that’s crazy, never thought of it like that

Buck was talking about Hurl's streak starting in 1971 during tonight's game. Mentioned something about Clemente as well but I was just listening to the part about Hurl. Legend.
BCZ Verified Member Posted September 16, 2023 Posted September 16, 2023 Nice Job vlad... but too little too late I suspect, hope I'm wrong. Want to watch Blue Jays in the playoffs lol.
