Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 That’s the Jays luck right there…terrible contact with ridiculous weird spin that falls in for a double Rangers seems to be having great babip luck this series so far… fun

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 This is about a s good as you’re gonna get from Ryu, this game is all on the offense right now.
Cynical Verified Member Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 This team is embarrassingly anti-clutch. They need to get a sports therapist to work with their best players. This has gone on for multiple seasons now where players just wilt under pressure.
BigCecil Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 lol. The board is dead too now. This team compared to the Anthopolous teams. We've gone from electricity, 50,000 fans, 50 pages of posts in September contention game day threads to a dead ballpark, a dead board, a low energy no excitement September. The Bo/Vlad era is over without a playoff win. Everyone knows it. By the end of the month there'll be 15,000 in the park, and less than 10 posts on the game day threads. Not sure I agree with all that bud, but I do agree there is no comparison in the vibe between 15/16 and now. None at all.

None at all. It feels similar to the 2016 season near the end. Team was barely holding onto a playoff spot, lost an important series to the Os the last week of the season… then came up clutch against Boston to take the first wildcard spot. And beat the Os in a very tight wildcard game.

None at all. 15/16 was lightning in a bottle. Its unreasonable to expect that type of hype when the team is consistently competitive. The team would have to be doing some Atlanta Braves s*** for that level of hype

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 I mean, it’s hard to take away from what Scherzer is doing, he’s throwing very well, using everything and using it well. But now he’s hurt. That might give the Jays a chance here
Kordesi Verified Member Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Come on bats - do something ffs! My son is at the game today and tomorrow

Most of these guys have the personality of a paper plate, unfortunately.

jaysblue Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Rangers BP sucks! Not over yet!
Pinkfloid Verified Member Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Hard to see if it was a leg injury or something in his shoulder
Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Whomever played with the Max Scherzer voodoo doll, thanks. Probably too little too late. But the effort is appreciated.

And beat the Os in a very tight wildcard game. Not sure. Maybe. The 16 wildcard game win and beating Texas probably sanitized the memories. But I never felt like we were out of games like it’s felt this year too often.

Last year “ everyone joking around all the time, nobody is serious about winning…” This season… “everyone so serious, no one has any personality, can’t win….”
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Well, here’s our chance now. Need to tear into their pen
Masterbather Verified Member Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Rangers BP sucks! Not over yet! It's cute how you think that.

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Hard to see if it was a leg injury or something in his shoulder Everyone favorite game show, guess that injury! I was thinking his hip…or a lat.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Gotta love all the armchair psychology going in these threads. No psychology in my comment.
Laika Community Moderator Posted September 13, 2023 Posted September 13, 2023 Well, that's a minor break tonight But possibly a huge break rest of season it Scherzer hits the IL
