Supreme confidence in Varsho's OF D. Even when he gets a bad jump or can't find a ball right away, he always seems to recover well.

 

There is a great player there if he can figure out the bat.

The difference between this team being on a 6+ game winning streak and now is almost nothing, just keep having these type of games going forward and the wins should pile up.

Going to have a glass of scotch and a nice Cohiba cigar to celebrate!

 

A Cohiba or a Fauxhiba? Cohibas are min $75 a stick in ON. I order my cubans from Cigar Chief off the Mohawks near Kingston for decades. They send them to AB. Best prices in Canada but a good Cuban robusto is minimum $30 a stick now. Been buying some Olivas from them for $15 a stick. Not bad. Going to go have a Romeo Y Julieta Short Churchill now myself to celebrate the W.

Bleh. Really hard to get too excited. This team shows no signs of going on an extended run. I don't want to hear about the Colorado affect, the Rockies suck at home because they suck as a team. One of the best pitching staffs and they smoked us routinely.

I dunno man. It's tough to pitch there but it must be even more difficult to show up there one random time and try to do it

 

I mean the Jays played like s***. Sloppy defense, bad situational hitting, poor pitching all around. But guys like Ryu and Kikuchi just get a full mulligan from me

Ryu I had no problem with at all. But a lot of bedwetting from most of the other pitchers. The bigger issue is that this team is 5-4 through nine of their 15 game "soft" schedule games. I know it's never that easy, but that's just not good enough. It's about to get real tough after that, The Yankees are not going to be pushovers, especially when you get Cole for 1/3 of the games. It's a tough schedule to end the season. There is nothing this team has shown to suggest they're going to go on an extended run.

Smoked a Cohiba Connecticut from Dominican. Cuban Cohiba robusto's are my favourite though. Olivas are great as well, bought a box of Connecticut Reserves from Nicaragua. Bought all my stuff at airport Duty Free's this summer haha. But yeah cigars here in Canada are expensive. Even a pack of the mini Cohiba's run you $70-80. Will have to check out the Reserves.

Hard to argue with 5-4 against the teams we have played the last 9 against is not good enough when we are chasing a spot. Todays game was yet another near death experience.

 

Unfortunately we are in a position where we most likely can't just win series, we probably need a sweep or two, hopefully starting tomorrow.
