Keegan Matheson

@KeeganMatheson

The trade is official:

#BlueJays acquire:

RHP Jordan Hicks

Cardinals acquire:

RHP Sem Robberse

RHP Adam Kloffenstein

Mitch White has been DFA'd to make room on the 40-man.

Holy f*** what. Both of them.

Solid trade, pricey, but much needed.

You think giving up Kloffenstein is a mistake? He may turn into something?

Honestly those were our two best bets to potential cheap back end rotation arms for an expensive roster. And they both got traded. Jesus lol

Apparently we don't plan to develop our own starters again.

Yes, they're both better bets than Tiedemann.

Guess we’re going in hard with Ricky T

If he's not healthy he won't even be on the roster to start with.

He hasn't been 100% for weeks since the all star game and was on the roster. Back problems can be lingering hence he may have to be deployed more carefully, therefore Hicks may have to come to the fore as closer.

Romano is closer A and Hicks can be B

Yeah, I think so, by committee as I stated.

Tiedeman is almost certainly going to be a lot more than a cheap back end of the rotation arm.

And Robberse, the other dude too.

Who needs a 6'5" 22 year old right hander like Kloffenstien anyways? :P

I swear somewhere AA is laughing at Shatkins for the moves they've made the past few years that have led to us having one of the worst Farm Systems in the game.

At least when AA did it, we had the best team in baseball on paper. Right now, we could easily still finish last in our division lol.

Was hoping for O’Neil as part of the trade to be a RH platoon guy

Cards aren't trading O'Neill, they're selling all their guys in there final year, that's it.

Tiedemann is a top of the rotation arm potential shush you.

That appears to be the case. At worst he's a power back ends arm but it would be lovely if he's Chris Sale.

I'm not doing anything agian. I am just absolutely shocked. Would have been nice to give up one of the projected relievers. Both of those guys are Starters and we need to develop back end arms so they stop buying it.

And rightfully so. This trade will need to be revaluated over a 6-year span atleast. I do believe both those guys are back of the rotation arms. Neither are gonna be elite. But still extremely valuable. Cardinals got themselves a couple starters.

Look at the clown that started this thread, took him off the IL so I can read this thread, lol.

He doesn't have elite stuff. But I see him having a solid career. A 4.5 era guy and innings eater. Valuable bottom of the rotation arm.

What a f***ing dingleberry this guy is^^^^ lmao. It's the market price idiot, there were other teams in on him.

What? We're better now than we were an hour ago; and an hour ago we were pretty good.

Lmao he's been the Cards closer for over a month now. He's pitched in high leverage situations.

lmfao. What did my post say?

Whose bitching lol. Read my comment again.

And Hader is different animal.

Hicks has only started missing bats this year. That's been my issue with him in past. Obviously throws hard. Elite ground ball rate. But now he's missing bats which elevated him.

Well of course we're better at the major league level. I'm just mentioning how piss poor our "waves of young talent" is looking like in the farm system.

This is what Shatkins built their entire motto over. Just found the "all in" moves hilarious when we're not even a better team now than we were back in 2015. That's all lol.

Regardless, team this needs 1 more high impact bat and I think we're in a good spot.
