John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Bassit should be able to take advantage of this s*** zone by the ump.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Hopefully Vlad can finally relax and ignite. Hes capable of going on a run where he hits 5 or 6 homeruns in 2 weeks and all of sudden his numbers look a whole lot different.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Oakland gets close calls, not Bassitt tho…
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Nicely done Bassitt, and f*** this ump, at least be consistent.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Jesus f***ing christ Buck, if people are voting Merrifield as an all star they need to give their head a shake. He’s a nice above average utility guy but he’s not even close to what an all star should be

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 I've seen worse True, Espinal did get in

He’s a nice above average utility guy but he’s not even close to what an all star should be I mean if Espinal can make it last year. Merrifield certainly deserves it.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 It's a popularity contest. You know that. It’s almost to the point where being an all star means nothing. It’s a sad state
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 I mean if Espinal can make it last year. Merrifield certainly deserves it. Deserves is not the right word at all. If MLB wanted any credibility with the voting process they’d limit the ability to vote for clearly undeserving candidates
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Deserves is not the right word at all. If MLB wanted any credibility with the voting process they’d limit the ability to vote for clearly undeserving candidates I don’t think fans should have any say on who plays in the All-Star game especially when its an incentive in contracts. I think you take the best players at every position and roll with. Maybe you let the fans select the bench from a curated list of deserving candidates.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Who f***ing cares about the ASG... it's all flat out horseshit?

John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 That strikeout on Springer was 100% made possible by the umps s***** strike zone
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Capel's a good LF'er, almost had him.
keggy Verified Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 AL 2B is quite thin. Merrifield is among the best this year.
Stangstag Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 AL 2B is quite thin. Merrifield is among the best this year. Semien is clearly #1 by a longshot but Whit is totally a fair choice as first off the bench.
Jonn Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Bassit thinking he’s going back out for the 6th after getting his s*** kicked in by poverty Oakland. He’s lucky its only 4 and the game is tied,
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 AL 2B is quite thin. Merrifield is among the best this year. It’s a Semien, then a giant chasm, then the rest. Anyone other than Semien at 2b would be a travesty
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Great turn boys, all around sweet play.
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Great turn, now can we put some more runs up on these clowns?
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 f***ing infuriating when umps can’t call the zone properly. Forces players to swing at garbage
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Noda gettin' respect from the Jays.

Yeah, Vlad doesn't deserve it this year. But I don't want to see some bum who had the best 80 games of his life to get in over him either. Fans are actually pretty decent at protecting against that.

Yeah, but they’re also great at voting for guys that had a great year 3 years ago and has been pretty average since
John_Havok Old-Timey Member Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Can’t believe they haven’t mentioned Ely de la Cruz’s cycle yet
Arjun Nimmala Vancouver Canadians - A+ SS It's been slow going at the start of the season for Nimmala, but on Sunday, he was 3-for-5 with his 3rd home run and 3 RBI. Explore Arjun Nimmala News >
