NHLPRO Verified Member Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Manoah is pure trash this year f*** off dude like wtf.
Omar Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Just last week John Schneider was telling Blair and Barker that Manoah will definitely NOT be sent down. There's always an out...
Kordesi Verified Member Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 He's been pitching with no confidence at all. There's zero conviction, he needs a reset. Yeah. The biggest shock for someone of his size is his drop in velocity. Truly weird.
G-Snarls Community Moderator Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Manoah's been a big game pitcher all his life and usually dominated. He was slapped in the mouth last season's WCG amd hasn't been right since, it makes sense. Yeah It may have carried over
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 So bad. Imagine Stroman in this rotation right now. I know Shapiro and Atkins hate him but wow. He’d be so much better than Manoah. I was very surprised when the Jays showed no interest in him at all. The guy would have been a great fit and it would have been a grand-slam from a PR point of view. Seems like Shapiro let his personal gripes interfere with the betterment of the team.
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 How did this guy regress into such a bum? He's a fat out of shape slug

el duque Verified Member Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 As a big fan of Alex Manoah I ask the jays to send him to the minors so he can find what he lost, he is harming the team, the fans and himself
gruber92 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 I’d even try Kloffenstein right from AA I'm on board with this.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 He's a fat out of shape slug It really is off-putting to see professional athletes so out of shape like that. There's no excuse for it.

Stro basically accused the org of racism. No way Shapiro would abide him coming back.

My thoughts exactly. Shapiro and Atkins let their personal dislike of Stroman get in the way of good decision making.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2023 Author Posted June 5, 2023 Knowing how to lay down a bunt isn't "luck". The cope is off the charts with you, man. You can't be serious here??? And what do you mean the cope is off with me?
The Cats Ass Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Send him back to A-ball. And put him on the fast track back up. Worked for Halladay.
RobinThicc Verified Member Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Manoag getting f***ed on by the astros was so predictable. I bet on him to get s*** on pretty much, he made me some money. Thabks
bronson44 Verified Member Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 This f***ing sucks. We could have hit this guy and all we needed was a half decent start.
5ToolPhenom Verified Member Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Stro basically accused the org of racism. No way Shapiro would abide him coming back. Ehhh, when it comes down to it professional sports is just business. Would be dumb to blackball the guy from coming back to the team because of some hurt feelings. Especially a guy who's basically iconic in the city and country.
Abomination Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 That swing reminded me a lot of Ichiro lol.
THANOS Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 He needs to a long IL stint and to go to Dunedin and work on his conditioning hardcore for a month straight, as well as weighted ball stuff, then start him in Single A and work from there.
Spanky99 Old-Timey Member Posted June 5, 2023 Author Posted June 5, 2023 Before the game... That'd be a tell, they'd never do that.
tossingthiscoin Verified Member Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 Bring back Roark... He would be better than this fat Manoah.

What’s dumb is whining about something done 4 f***ing years ago like it matters at all to the current team. There 700 different things that might have happened if Stroman was resigned between that and now that could hypothetically change what the current roster even looks like so hindsight whining is beyond stupid.

Agreed he needs to go on the IL. He should spend at least a month at the pitching clinic working on conditioning and getting help with his psyche. Leave him down for as long as it takes. Took Berrios several moths to get fixed (knock on wood) and he has a much longer proven track record than Manoah does.

He’d be so much better than Manoah. In hindsight sure, but Stro's in house issues seemed to be the problem. No one knows, I imagine Alek would come back as a semblance of what we saw last year, it shouldn't take more than this season.

Thabks I put 20 bucks on the Jays cause I thought this Astros roster today was beatable and wanted to make the game a little more interesting to watch. So much for that! haha
Solaxys Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 Just do Jackson > Richards for 2-3 IP each, send manoah down, call up some reliever (looks like Pop is back soon?)
WryNGinger Verified Member Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 Hope Jackson puts himself in position to maybe be the opener or long man in 5 days. Pearson, Richards and then Jackson on Manoahs next start?
saskjayfan Old-Timey Member Posted June 6, 2023 Posted June 6, 2023 Well I did say Ryu would start a playoff game at the beginning of the year in the bold predictions thread. Now I just need the Jays to make the playoffs!
