Looking forward to the game!

Hopefully some of the "temporary" board members can get ahead of the discussion by answering a few questions in advance?

What is the perfect line-up card? Who should be in exactly the right spot to take advantage of base-running opportunities we don't know about yet?

Which signing from the off-season would be the best to be replaced by someone else the Jays front office considered at a similar salary? If it is someone amazingly better, what was it that made it so obvious to your amazingly brilliant baseball mind?

I am really looking forward to asking more questions and having them answered by some of the most brilliant baseball savvy minds on the internet! Hurrah!

Is the game also on Apple TV?

Went out last night to a pub with friends. Thought, no worries I can watch the game at the bar. Waitress frantically scrolling through for Jays game and I realized, f*** this game is on apple. Looking at the box score it wasn't a bad one to miss.

Schneider seems so rigid. Right now KK could be higher in the order. Belt should hit ahead of Varsho. When are we going to shake things up to maximize the lineup.

What's wrong with Spanky? Isn't he just trashing negative fans to various degrees? How about banning the insufferable negative fans?

Guessing Grayson's has his first awesome game, Orioles rested bullpen is dynamite but they don't need them. Adley on base 5 times, and Gunnar Henderon on base 4 as he gets his season stats looking respectable on his way to a great season. Ortiz first major league homerun.

Mahoah 4+ innings 8 earned runs 7 walks (patient Orioles) but Wilner and Stoeten defend him and passively aggressively diss Orioles.

Wilner - Manoah doesn't look good right now but it's a long season.

Stoeten - The insufferable negative fans have never seen a player slump before.

Wilner - Despite being on base 4 times Henderson only hitting .220 .370 .370. A lot to prove yet.

Stoeten - Kirk and Rutchman have the same skill set. Give it 6 weeks and Kirk could look better.

Send their IP addresses to the authorities and sue for defamation. Anyone that spends their time being negative on sports message boards probably deserves to be in prison anyway.

Jansen catching Manoah, interesting.

Worth the shot. Could also be the coaching staff's way of saying, we have no idea what else to do.

Varsho looks to have been switched with Belt in the order. We shall see if this is a longer term thing or just a single game based on the matchup.

Jansen catching Manoah is an interesting switch, but unless he can allow Manoah to regain an effective slider and iron out his command issues I don't know if it will ultimately matter much.

Perfect lineup card is

Keirmayer

Merrifield

Bichette

Guerrero

Champman

Jansen

Belt

Springer

Varsho

This gets the fast hot hitters near the top and the bad ones near the bottom. In the offseason should have traded Kirk for Luis Arriez and signed Yoshida lineup would be

Arriez 2B

Bichete SS

Yoshida DH

Guerrero 1B

Chapman 3B

Kiermayer CF

Gurriel LF

Moreno C

Springer RF

That line up would be perfect with a near .400 hitter leading off, good left right balance, great pure hitter in Yoshida, and 2 .300 hitters in Gurriel 7 and 8.

Springer would be second lead off so would still be comfortable.

The above moves were obvious to me because I've been watching baseball since the 80s and seen the great hitters, Wade Boggs, Paul Molitor, Ruben Sierra (1988 only), and Pat Tabler (based loaded only). I knew Arriez is a batting title winner and was available. I've also very closely watched the trend of good teams getting guys from Japan, like Ichiro, Matsui and Ohtani, and just watching some video of the Japanese league knew that Yoshida is the guy we needed.

Glad to see Jansen is catching for Manoah today! Give him a couple starts and see maybe if Kirk game calling is the problem. Hopefully Manoah can have a solid start today and get some confidence back. If he shits the bed again, seriously need to look at sending him down. It's not unheard of, look at Doc Halladay, went all the way down to single A. Hoping Jansen is the fix, but I'm not holding my breathe.

Honestly Kirk caught him all last season and nobody complained. I thinks its much about nothing. Jano cant make his SL break more or tick up that FB V.

But when struggling sometimes you just need to shake things up and try another route so I'm good with it.

Whats sure is either you will be right or I will. I know where I wouldn't put my money lol

Spanky blocked me, or so he said. Apparently he didn't or unblocked me. Was thinking he wouldn't see the GDT

That is true, but at the same time if your stuff isn't as good, pitch selection becomes much more valuable...and that is probably what is lacking with Kirk, among other things

That's just the thing, it doesn't seem fair to blame a catcher when only one of Manoah's pitches has been garnering good results. According the Statcast the only positive value pitch for Manoah right now is his two seamer. His expected stats shows Manoah has been pretty fortunate so far this year so switching catchers is not likely to be some sort of panacea.

Varsho finally not batting 4th anymore. He’s going to get better with the bat but let him do it towards the bottom of the order first. Thankfully Belt is resembling a big league hitter now so easier to make that switch.
