Forgive me people, I’m new to baseball, but a question I’ve got to ask is, when you had guys on all 3 bases, why did the batter swing big? Wouldn’t it have been better to just try to place it and get to first base so one of the guys gets home for a run? Is this tactic used much?

Depends on the hitter. If the hitter can actually do damage with big swings, you don't ask them to play small ball.

What's the record for number of relievers on one team with at least 80 appearances in a season? I feel like that record might be in jeopardy.

Wait so we pull Manoah at 86 pitches just to let Yimi pitch for a 2nd day in a row??

What?

We have too many good arms in the minors and IL. So we ride these guys out and burn them to make room for the new blood in the 2nd half.

Clay Holmes and Peralta for a LHH tough to even try to place anything against. Varsho swung at a bad pitch for 2-0.

Bottom line you usually want to hit the ball as a hard as possible no matter the situation. The softer you swing the more likely a play can be made

What a play by Schneider this guy has no f***ing clue hey. This is what happens when you give a guy a full time job based on a 3rd of a season sample size

Yup. Thanks Schneider.

f*** Schneider

Deserved loss thanks Schneider.

Awesome move Schneids

John Schneider f***ing sucks at his job man.

This is clearly an organizational problem.

But in a tight game like this surely any way to get runs is important. s*** as I type this the Yankees have hit a home run 🙁
